The PSP Go remains a hot item this week. Nasayers still think it's going to fall flat on its sliding non-face. Sony, for their part, is busy touting it as a success, throwing out some impressive -- yet ultimately still unsubstantiated -- sales numbers. While the "go or no go" tug of war is happening, unscrupulous types are capitalizing on the new handheld by releasing their own thinly-veiled knock off version.

The Hardware:

  • Rumor: PSP Go features digital game rentals? Link
  • UK stores dropping PSP Go prices to 199. Link
  • SCEA: US PSP sales up 300% thanks to PSP Go. Link
  • Retailer: PSP Go will "fail miserably", Apple's success on digital distribution is Apple's alone. Link
  • Fils-Aime: PSP Go is fundamentally flawed in concept, no thanks for mobile. Link

The Games:

  • TGS 09: Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Aqua gameplay. Link
  • Half-Minute Hero hits the PSP on October 13. Link
  • New Monster Hunter Unite DLC: Beasts of the Dunes out now! Link
  • SNK announces new Metal Slug game for PSP. Link
  • Armored Core 3 Portable getting US release. Link
  • Bring on the crazy: PSP Go gets Crazy Taxi. Link
  • SCEA: Publishers are the ones setting PSP Minis price points. Link
  • Video: New Valkyria Chronicles 2 trailer. Link
  • Capcom to bring five more UMD Legacy titles to PSN. Link
  • Video: The first official Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars PSP trailer. Link
  • Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier dated for the PSP. Link
  • Road Rash remake - in the works or in the trash? Link

The Knock-off:

  • PSP Go? No, it's the PXP-2000. Link

£199 for the Go, I think I'll ...

If you see the Go walking down the street

And sigh at its price which is mighty steep

Walk on by, walk on by, keep walking by
