But really guys, this comic isn't that funny or clever. I know one tactic of comedians is to cleverly depict obvious truths. But what's said in that comic is so insanely obvious that it's really impossibly to cleverly depict it. Something like those commercials doesn't require a satirical comic. It ridicules itself just fine. Anyone going out of their way to make a comic about it is just being redundant. You want to see funny comics? His name is Jim Davis, author or Garfield. You want satire of current events? His name is John Stewart, he's on the Daily Show. (And to a lesser degree, there's Steven Colbert on the Colbert Report)

and as for John Stewart and Steven Colbert they can go suck my ***** at comedy central cuz as far as I remember politics were NOT supposed to be funny.

Furthermore, does something have to be intended to be something for it to be it? You said that politics were not supposed to be funny. Well obviously the comercial that this comic is making fun of wasn't supposed to be stupid. I highly doubt that the ones who made it inteded it to reek. That doesn't change the fact that it does.
Same goes for politics. When Bush misreads the lines he's getting fed, it's funny. It's not supposed to be but it is. When the vice president shoots a 78 year old man in the face with bird shot, it's also funny. Again, it's obviously not supposed to be. Get the picture?
