SanDisk 8GB Memstick for cheap - Image 1Prices for gadgets usually wax and wane. They go up, they go down, and to make matters worse, different stores sell them at different prices at different months!

Here's an update for all you guys looking to jump on a deal for memory sticks.

Over at Amazon, the SanDisk 8GB memory Stick Pro Duo is now selling for a cozy little price of US$ 56.69, whereas previously, it was clocked out at US$ 80. What a tease. If you don't have the cash, you could also check out the 4GB stick which is now at US$ 34.99. You can click the links below if you want to take a peek at the Amazon product listings.

I checked the Buy.com site to follow up on the previous deal we reported on earlier this month. And while their 8GB SanDisk was priced at US$ 60 last time, it's now back up at US$ 64. Meanwhile, their 4GB SanDisk stick is back up at US$ 40 (from the previous US$ 30). Guess it's Amazon for now...

Why does the title say $25?? Anyways, Newegg always has these for 60.99 (8GB) and 33.99 for the 4GB, and 18.99 for the 2GB.

i have purchased 4 4GB memory sticks off ebay over the 2 years for myself and a few friends.

99.9% of pro duos on ebay will be fake. but i was happy with mine. i saved about 60% of the price. transfer speed was just over 1mb a second on my first 3, which was pretty slowish!

the 4th was purchased recently. the transfer speed approached 4mb/sec but had writing errors. but the seller replaced.

what these shoddy sellers do though is often combine sticks, so an '8GB stick' is really just 2 4 GB sticks in one, and that can cause problems.

i wouldnt get an 8gb stick off ebay, unless the seller had a satisfaction guarantee and allowed returns if you wont happy.

check their feedback.

# Hasn't been that price since late 2007?!s*****man 2008-07-27 08:49
Not really that great of a deal.

Do what I have done... skip this and buy a 16GB memory stick dual for $140. from Buy.com. I think it's currently $148.

Also... QJ.. will you STOP BANNING the word SP00N?! This place is treated like 1950's Russia. Give us some freedom on the English language!

I wouldn't trust this to be a geniune memory stick... For ~$15 bucks more, get the Sandisk Ultra II that is being sold directly by Amazon. Gets you fast transfer speeds and you can be much more sure that you're getting the real thing.

ultimax, get the ***** off this board.

I'm not a racist. Never have been.

And randomly? unrelated thread? What the ***** are you on? I was stating that the news that appears on qj appears on pspfanboy first, then appears on here. Meaning it's pretty obvious where the news comes from.

You're the one that's pretty sad. I suggest you get a life instead of trolling people.
