Zack is at it again, dropping by our forums to release a new version of his Super Nintendo Entertainment System emulator for the PSP, Snes9X Euphoria. The latest release also happens to be Zack's second entry for the ongoing Neo Summer Coding Compo. It includes major speed ups along with a few minor fixes.

Changelog:

Rendering Rehash - Speed Up.
Function clean up - Small speed up.
Fixed Memory stick read error.
Various fixes.

Issues

If you click load new game and the game just sits on a black screen... Click the home button again then press "reset snes".

I forget which one I have but I've had it for quite awhile and no other emulator has even come close.

Chrono Trigger runs at 60fps no frame skip most of the time, in battle it's 60/30 with 1 frame skip. The previous one would always be 57/30 in battle.

Most games run at 60/60 or 60/30. Mario RPG though runs at 60/30 sometimes and 60/20 other times. I'd eventually like to play Kirby Superstar on a PSP emu though which I guarantee won't ever happen.

Hey guys.

I'm a PSP Homebrew n00b. I just modded my phat PSP 1001 and it currently has 5.00 M33-6 CFW. I got NesterJ running perfectly, but I can't seem to get any version of Snes9x to. I just tried this one, and with it being the latest one, I'm offically stumped. Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong?

You probably need to install the 1.50 Kernel. QJ should have it in the downloads.

This emulator's a disappointment. Changing screen settings while in-game glitches the sound, if not totally freezes the game.

I haven't tried this app yet. Is there a difference in the GUI, and is it anything like gpSP's interface? Because as much as I liked the TYL version, I didn't really like the menus.

It's great to see some useful emu updates for once, but like kupomogli said, it'd be great to play Kirby Superstar for once.

I do have high hopes for a full speed Snes emulator. I have been waiting since 2006(good ol' ou_snes9x + %ou_snes9x days)to be able to play Soul Blazer fullspeed with no added frameskip on my psp. And now I think that day has come! Popped it in and right off the bat 60fps! In game play: 60fps, combat play: 60fps! And just for fun I turned the frameskip from 3 to 0 and guess what... 60fps!! You have made my day THANK YOU!!!!

That game in the screenshot has 2 names one is contra the other is super probtector the main diffrence being in probotector Yourr Robot wich odly Resembleing The Robots From Robotech
