Homebrew coder Hakuryu188 has dropped by our forums to release a new version of SMB (Save my Battery), a handy homebrew plugin that allows you to save your PSP's battery life in more ways than one.
Developer's note:
List of functions:
turn off the backlight after 4 seconds if no key is pressed
turn off the screen after 15 seconds and down the CPU to 111Mhz if no key is pressed
if you press HOLD, the screen and the led turn off
L-TRIGGER and UP ==> Down the backlight at the minimum (25)L
R-TRIGGER and UP ==> UP the backlight at the maximum (99)
START + R-TRIGGER ==> Setup menu

This should help not having to pop out my battery when I'm done on my 1k.

and, the other is, it force the psp to have only 2 screen brightness config.. low and high.. i cant adjust using the screen button anymore..

I don't really see the point of it. There already is a plugin called PspPowerSaver and Hold+. Hold+ puts the CPU to 60 MHz not 111 (battery drains slower) and PspPowerSaver shuts off various background processes (until you need them) to preserve the battery.
