Just a quick head's up folks, a new version of the nifty M33-Prometheus Installer has been released by homebrew coder Red Squirrel. In case you were still wondering what's the app all about, M33-Prometheus Installer is a "simple homebrew that installs the Prometheus MOD in your beloved custom firmware 5.00 M33-6. It does all the necessary things to enable the Prometheus MOD in your custom firmware such as writing prometheus_lite.prx in Flash0, Prometheus_key.txt in Flash1 and Stargate.prx in SEPLUGINS folder and adding the Stargate.prx plugin string in your GAME.txt."

Changelog:

  • Added Italian translation.
  • The v1.0 could not write correctly the Stargate.prx if the SEPLUGINS folder did not exist: fixed.
  • Added submenus for Installation and Uninstallation features.
  • Added help menus to give you more information about the program’s functions.-
  • Added a function to install all files in your Flashs: the Stargate.prx plugin will be written in Flash0 and flash0:/kd/pspbt*nf.bin files will be updated to auto-load it at startup! In this way you won’t loose a place in your GAME.txt
  • Added a function to uninstall an “all in flashs” installation (read above).
  • The program will recognize the PSP model (Phat or Slim) writing only the correct files in Flash0.

But this is a flash that doesn't change anything else other than allow any PSP games up to 6.20 to be played?

I like to play the games legally, yet you really can't patch a UMD. I can rip it or download a patched version, but yeah. I also like to use the older homebrew and emulators(yes, I'm a hypocrite I know, but I like to support the current consoles and most of the emulated games I own.)

I was "asking" if you could. I wasn't stating anything.

Thank you for confirming it though, even if you were being a douchebag prick at the same time.

Damn... all of these flashed plugins and hacks for CFW 5.00 done butchered the originality of M33. It's like the world came to an end and people are scraping the bottom of trash barrels to get their fix. 5.50 GEN is slowly becoming a part of that crowd too. Poor income idiots.

oh please if your posting here then you most certainly play isos, so don't even try and judge anyone here. The fact of the matter is people actually buy these games and hate not being able to play them cause they choose to unlock there psp(apply CFW) so dev's are always going to find away to break the systems hold.

I don't know about you but its my legal right to back up any of my games that I purchased and if any dev enables me to successfully play them on FW that I run then kudos to them.

As a fan of the Ys series I preordered the limited edition Ys7 for $50, coming with soundtrack, artbook, cloth map, and game. May not be so limited, but that will get more Falcom games to the US.

ok i have a few questions to ask. even though i'm not on m33, i need to know what the difference is between this and the CFW M33 6.20 plugin. are anyone of them better than the other? do they perform the same functions? does this support the new go cam? after reading about these two programs, it makes me think of downgrading back from gen to m33. help appreciated.

Why do people on GEN CFWs use this...? This was made for M33 fans, who hate M33 Knock-off CFWs (GEN).
