Great news guys! Homebrew coder wololo and his team is back once again in the homebrew scene to release a new version of their nifty homebrew loader that allows you to play homebrews on any PSP, including the PSP Go, running on firmwares up to 6.20.

Developer's note:

I’m happy to announce a new revision of our Homebrew Loader for all PSP models (well, except the unlucky people who upgraded to 6.30).

Revision 93 is mostly JJS’s work (thanks man!), with a few minor corrections from me. It improves module loading and makes HBL closer to getting network support. For you as users, it mostly means that we improved the compatibility, and some games now work with HBL, such as Counter Strike PSP 1.56 (more recent versions don’t work because they need kernel access).

"... (well, except the unlucky people who upgraded to 6.30)."

Not sure that qualifies as "unlucky".

I'd say the more accurate adjective would be "stupid ass".

Considering that the half the homebrew that I find useful don't work with Half Byte Loader, I don't think it's very helpful to me. I don't think laggy emulated games and a topdown version of Counter Strike is helpful when I can do it all and more on a PC.

-goes off to upgrade to 6.30-

If you go that way, you could get rid of your psp directly... there's nothing you can do on a psp that you can't do on a pc...

Except play PSP games. Not a good job with turning around my statement. If I can only play game remakes and emulated games with HBL, I might as well just do it on a computer where it's faster.

Still...listening to music and watching movies on my PSP is still more fun than on the computer.
