More emulator goodness coming your way guys as an unknown Japanese coder has released a new update of gpSP-J, a modified version of the Gameboy Advance emulator for the PSP. The release was based on the UO gpsp kai project by Takka that was originally developed by homebrew extraordinaire Exophase.

Unfortunately guys, just like the previous builds, we were not able to translate effectively the new changes since the README is in Japanese. But you can rest assured that this version is more stable than the previous release.

Did you not read the readme to the official GP release jus a while back? Where the original coder asked you people to stop taking his emulator and making unofficial releases? then you will bitch when its not open source anymore...you people are ignorant. He also asked to not post their work. Why not code your own emulator instaed of hacking at somebody elses work against their wishes? lames

You're bitching at the wrong place, this is a news site, it has nothing to do with the making of the homebrew modification.

Also, "just a while back"? When was an update of the official version released? I remember it being a long time ago, correct me if I'm wrong.

The updates add speed ups and fix some games that aren't working properly, so they are always welcome, there's nothing wrong with this.

The previous release runs like a charm as far as I can tell.

This is a really good emu.

For God´s sake, why this programmer wiped out the fullscreen option? I hate playing gba games with black borders. The zoom option is just stupid. Seriously, I have the original gpSP 0.9 yet because of this shitty decission . Moreover the Golden Sun saga keeps lagging and crashing the emulator.

He dropped gpsp years ago. He will never update it again. So stop complaining that this imperfect, unfinished project of Exophase is being cared for by other people.

Living in the UK, summer is approaching and I can't seem to fit my PSP in my jean pocket at I don't wear my jacket anymore, where I used to hold my PSP.

However, in my opinion, owning a gameboy micro and a flashcard during the summer is the best entertainment you can get. I really recommend it.

this emulator really works, the only thing i wish they consider to add, is to be able to play in 480x272 fullscreen like the UO gpsp kai 3.4 test 3. FULLSCREEN IS ALWAYS BETTER!

Does this work on 5.50 gen A-D3. I run 5.50 gen b full on slim and not a single GBA emulator works.

I might be late to the party, but if you want to change the setting to english follow this steps:

1- go to the fifth option (from the first option down), the emulator options page.

2- go to the option just before the last one (to go back), this is the change language option, change it until you see some english text on the UI, then just go back one page

and there you go, it should change to english by now.
