Homebrew coder biscottealacrevette is back in the homebrew scene to release a new version of his excellent streaming application for the PlayStation Portable, GoTube.

 

Changelog:


  • For client:
    • You can now Delete unwanted sites via the updater.
    • You can modify your personnal preferences without any computer :
      • Favorites' Folders
      • Default Zoom
      • PSP Slim's Svideo mode (interlaced/progressive)
      • Multiview (Be able to see the next sites in the top bar)
    • Youtube's New script can now read WMG Protected Videos, and also some videos which the "embedded" mode has been disabled by the uploader.
    • You can now Enable/Disable High Memory Mod from the updater.
  • For dev:
    • ext() function now supports String(), so you can now try this : chain.ext(begin[,end])

There's a glitch with the HMM version. When loaded, it says "ms0:/PSP/GAME/Gotube/GT/site cannot be found." Since the Gotube eboot is already named GT, renaming it causes Gotube to stop working all together.

Basically, the High Memory Mod version doesn't work at all.

I use it every night. It kinda sucks how often it crashes and how a bunch of the sites don't play the videos (PSP 1001). I haven't tried it out yet, but I'm disappointed that I don't really see any fixes in the changelog.

I was waiting for this, GoTube stopped working after the last recent youtube UI overhaul. I just tried this new version and it works great, youtube works again! You don't need to copy over the radeoplayer folder if you don't want it, GoTube will still work without it.

i put gotube hhm on my pspslim 2000 which has a 6.31 update and got i it installed in the radio player and everything but it just doesnt play the game it says this game cannot be started. game data is corrupted can u tell me whats wrong

Tried both releases on PSP 2000 5.50 GEN D3. About 5% of vids cause full lock up and shutdown. Most vids will freeze at some point and cause you to restart, which is a pain for any vid over 2mins.

soo yeah, i got HMM to work on slim..throw everything where it should go, then go to gotube updater (in radio player) hit the big + up top, at the bottom update HMM and there we go v1.2 works on PSP slim

This application works, it's quite good infact. But the video playback is somewhat slow. T.T But, it's worth it. :D My rating would be an 8/10.

PS: It doesn't freeze THAAT often, but yes it does freeze sometimes. Thankyou for making this software ^^

I love this app but the videos I subscribe to on youtube doesn't play. It used to play a few months back. I tried switching to HMM, changing video mode from 480i to 480p and going back to CFW 5.00 and 5.03. Problem remains. The uploader uses 240p. I thought that might be the problem but it's not that either. What happens is that as soon as I hit x on the video it freezes then turns off. With other videos it goes to the black screen with the timer and then it freezes there and turns off. Then some other videos play fine. Can any one tell me why some play and others don't?
