Homebrew coder Genesis Vids sent us a tip about the latest release of his Game Boy, Sega Master and Game Gear emulator for the PlayStation Portable, EmuMaster. Formerly known as MasterBoy, the latest  version of the brew includes some minor speed ups, a few bug fixes and  more game enhancements.

 

 

 

Changelog:

  • load roms 5% speed up
  • fixed mario error
  • can now play metroid with color patch
  • new name EmuMaster
  • new images

Great work. The only thing i hope for in an emulator is
1) multiplayer compatibility
2) being able to use gameshark codes

In my opinion, this GUI has only changed output,metroid color still don't work(?),5% loading speed up are humanly inpercettibile and the size of the eboot are exactly the same... :-?

Hehe.. The emulator is cool though, keep up the good work man. :P

Does this support FM synth yet? The SMS Yamaha add-on chip and later built into Japanese SMS systems (Mark III) was much superior and nearly as good as the Sega Genesis sound chip in many ways.
