PSP dev Liquidzigong is at it again, this time releasing an early demo of his latest project, a Digital Comics for custom firmware 5.XX. But don't get too excited folks, the project is still on its early stage of development and can only play MP3s for now.

Developer's note (translated):

Digital comics can also run on the 5.XX. This comic viewer can see the Sony paid comics, but also play music.

Test comic theory as a license mlnapp_proxy.prx not really crack , so this cracked version can not read comics , can only be considered a " demo . " But at least can play mp3. What functions can not use cartoons I have not been pro- test . Words start with the front , I will not break pay comics, so I do not mind playing for free comics .

The importance of this thing is revealed 6.XX and 5.XX system interfaces between firmware is similar. Effort to repair as long as hackers have interfaces , it basically will succeed.

I had been hoping this was possible for some time. I love digital comics but I also love 5.00 m33-6. It's the only firmware that never gives me trouble.

This looks pretty awesome.

PSPcomic is a killer app but I'd like to try the digital comics store format also.

I've never tried it but the impression I got was that they are specially formatted to read and navigate easily on the PSP screen or something?

This is great work - I copied all my comics from my 6.20 fw and they are recognised on my 5.50 but can't open due to the license. I'm going to keep watching! Thanks

For those that can't wait try my PSPComic mod to get that authentic feel:

I have been on 5.00 m33 forever, so I used MediaGo to get the free comics onto my comp, copied the files over w/windows. (MediaGo wanted me to update my PSP, and I said NO)
The comics show up, but show a license error when you try to read them.
So I did look into the PSPComic Mod... and it IS good!
