Developer's note:
This release of DaedalusX64 is currently in beta stages of development.
As for the past releases of Daedalus PSP, this project is intended to show the potential for a N64 emulator on the PSP, but the current release has many missing features that make it far from usable:
- Many roms won't boot.
- Some roms have serious graphical glitches.
- Various roms have random lockups and crashes.
- Many roms run at a low framerate.
Having said all that, We believe most of these problems can be overcome in the near future.
Installation:
- Copy the Daedalus folder to the \PSP\GAME\ folder on your PSP.
- Daedalus requires Custom Firmware 4.00 or higher, failing to install CFW 4.00 or higher will mean Daedalus does not load past the firmware check screen.
Upgrade Procedure
- Get the latest build from subversion / compiled in mirror.
- Remove all HLE files from the SaveGames folder
- Remove rom.db and preferences.ini
- This will ensure that Daedalus is fresh.

This isn't some kind of huge developer. Sometimes one gets the impression many homebrew users just want to be spoon-fed perfect free software. Telling these kinds of developers to quit a project, thats kinda wacky, in my opinion.

You never know, maybe at some point one of these revisions will end up running games at or near full speed. The Deaedalus team obviously enjoys working on their emulator so just let them have their fun, also if the team is this dedicated to their work I'm sure they'll be working on the Emulator for the future PSP2.

Z-fighting and many other advanced features are amazing. It takes away a lot of the uglyness. Sound-sync is cool. All we need is more games running and less crashing/lag.

However, that doesn't mean we can't be thankful for the team's hard work and dedication (today is a day to be thankful :) DaedalusX64 emulates a few games very well, even with sound, and many are playable without sound. Why are you hating on a free program?

In case you have not noticed even the full time developers on PS3.....IE Polyphony don't know how to code on there, judging by the buggy Gran Turismo 5.
How do you think a developer coding a emulator is going to do, even worse is the answer because of the lack of information about the PS3's hardware to the homebrew community.
If one emulator runs at full speed on the PS3, i will eat my hat.
