Fans of DaedalusX64 project, head's up! The homebrew team has once again updated their Nintendo 64 emulator project for the PlayStation Portable, DaedalusX64. The latest alpha revisions of the ever-popular emulator includes some minor changes, code cleanups and several bug fixes to improve the stability and performance of the homebrew.

 

Changelogs:

  • Revision 481:
    • [!] Revert back sqrtf (vfpu_sqrtf is alot slower, thx IWN and Hardhat for pointing out)
    • [~] A couple of minor changes
  • Revision 480:
    • [~] Debug build compiles again
    • [!] Small clean up
  • Revision 479:
    • [!} Huge code clean up( errrg hopefully nothing got broken..)
    • [+] More VFPU math( small speed up...)

There deffinatly is quite abit of improvement, for example on pokemon stadiumn 2 it can actually play the guys at the gym where as before it just crashed.

the only game that i really want to play is pokemon stadium 2 and every time i try to play the gym castle challenge, the game always crashes. it would be nice if they fixed it...

I love this emulator project!
These updates are mainly so small that you wont notice any difference.
But if you compare with a much earlier revision you can see the changes! :D

It's awesome that they whip out an update so often. Yes they're minor, but they're immediate. These guys are always on the ball with their emulator.

I'm sure it will be full speed by next year if they keep going at this pace. But who knows, they might figure out something major and have it fullspeed as soon as next month for all we know lol.

this is probably the best emu on the psp, and by that, it emulates the hardest console the best, i mean, lots of the SNES emulators are kinda choppy! this is an amazing project. ill study this for my compsci major

I really think the developers should ad a psp accessible online updater. They update so much (which is awesome) it gets kinda hard to keep track. Plus it would be nice to always have the latest version.
