The PSP pack comes with titles Tony Hawk Underground Remix and Twisted Metal Head-on. Several accessories were also included like the headphones, USB cable, AC adapter, 32MB Memory stick, and a sampler disc. The PSP itself includes a v2.60 software plus a web browser. The seller is even proud to announce that the handheld is flawless and looks new.
All those accessories don't add up to $2,000, not even a thousand bucks. The price of a typical new PSP pack is just around $ 250, and this item only has a total history of four bids. It started from $ 121 which was reasonable, but then the price sky-rocketed to a thousand dollars before getting a bid of 2,000 dollars. Curiously, the winner only won it by 25 dollars.

I tried selling a laptop a while ago and some *****s from Nigeria jacked up the price ridiculously high and then tried to persuade me to shop it to Nigeria and after I send the conformation slip they would send the money...Yeah, right.

Same with my Palm T|X. A guy jacked up the price then asked me to ship to Nigeria. He said he would pay me via Online USPS Money Order which DOESN'T EXIST. THERE IS NO SUCH THING! How do I know? My dad works in the USPS. It's bogus and FYI Africa, specifically Nigeria, counterfeit MOs (Money Orders) such as the USPS & Walmart MOs. The so called "Confirmation receipt" they send to you saying to pick up your money in the post office the next day is bogus and clearly made by someone who has a tacky taste in colors and at best basic HTML knowledge. It basically looks like a survey spam mail. Good luck to the seller who sold that PSP. I hope he didn't jump on the money and shipped his PSP first thing in the morning to Nigeria.

This is stupid and is a waste of space. There are auctions going for 7k and higher, and is by private ids who are not registered. They having a bit of fun who inflate the price and never pay.
Everytime I sell something on craigslist I have crazy people (mostly nigerians) wanting to buy my items for a whole lot more than retails. Irritates me!
of 0 rating bidders. let me explain: the winning bidder posts a huge large bid minutes before the end. then a 0 rater bids it up to a stupid amount with no intention of paying, however the poor fool who put down the huge bid is actually legally obliged to pay whatever price they bid. its common practice by those desperate to get the item. its also madness in case something like this does happen. this wont only affect the winning bidder it will also pinch the seller because of the fees. 0 rating bidders should have a very low bid limit and fees should be removed if a bidder fails to pay. this is another of the reasons i despise ebay. 0 rating bidders are the scum of the earth when all they do is cost people money - and in some cases lots of it. it is not harmless fun there having - its always at someone elses expence.

I use eBay all the time (i have a 800+ rating) an have people buy my items all the time without paying, i can gte my final listing fee back, but often not the fee's to list the item in the first place, which for some of my items can be £20+
eBay really needs to sort these nigerian scammers out.
This could also be some kind of cover up... people sometimes use seemingly ordinary online ads or auctions for selling prohibited stuff, like drugs, weapons etc... there could be some hidden code in the item description which tells only the "right" people what they really are selling. Maybe that's just me being paranoid... but then again, maybe not.
Have you used ebay anytime recently? He didn't enter in the wrong amount, because in order for the big to go up to that price, TWO people have to enter up to that amount. Thus the reason why the person won by $25. This is how the max bid system works,... you can go ahead and bid $2000 dollars on something, and actually win it for $200 dollars, as long as someone only bids it up to $190 or so. So don't come around here calling people noobs when you don't even know how ebay works....
And yes, don't do ANY dealing with Nigeria...they are ALL scam artists ;)

While I didn't check it out, I thought that maybe the SELLER didn't like the price he/she thought they were going to get so they (or a friend) fabricated a bogus account to ensure that the PSP wouldn't be let go for $150 or something lower than they had hoped for.
I ones made a mistake on ebay, since I live in Europe and we have , to divide dollars from cents and . for every 1000.
I once made my bid for about 10 dollar: I typed 10,00
but at the ending of the bidding I had to pay 1000 dollar, luckily the seller did understand what had gone wrong and canceled the purchase.
I don't know if this is what had happened but it could be.

I seriously doubt you will get much more than that from anyone, if you sell it online. I got a NEW value pack from another auction site for like $250, and that was 5 months ago or so... a used 1gig stick is worth around $30 and a used GTA is worth around $20-30 I'd say... And of course, the ISOs are worth squat. So nope, you didn't get ripped off. How much were you expecting, really?
