Grow up, this is the internet, just because you have registered a name (a stupid one at that) does not give you more rights. As longs as people post relevent infomation, they have the right to be heard. Im anonymous and im the only one who knows the systems are 2.6.

As for the firmware. Seeing as they are the "core" package, then it only stands to reason that Sony would manufacture those with later firmware.
