My question is am I able to buy the extended warranty and, if so, can I get my PS3 fixed even though it's been a while?

"In order to qualify for any of the plans, your PlayStation 3 must still be within its one-year original manufacturer’s warranty."
That screws up my plans. I've been wanting to get mine fixed for quite a while now. =(
