Persona getting PSP port? |
Ó
Gino should really be the one writing this, since he's still tripping on Persona 4. But he's not here, so hah.Hong Kong gaming mag GameWave, who's been pretty accurate about this stuff before, is listing a PSP port of the original Persona from the PSOne. We may be seeing a complete remake in the near future.
GameWave also gave the info on the PSP Ports for Disgaea 2 and Mobile Suit Gundam: Bonds of the Battlefield, which both turned out to be accurate. So while we still have no official confirmation of the Persona port yet, I'd say there's a pretty good chance it'll happen.
The port is said to have new characters, additional storyline elements, and new scenarios. If rumors are to be believed, it'll hit Japan on April 30, with a price tag of 5040 Yen (US$ 56). Take out your hair gel and mascara, things are about to get really emo.

YESYESYES! I've been dying for this to happen - port of Persona 3 FES please (at some stage) and I can die happy.
I would love for this to come to the U.S., but i seriously doubt it. I really hope I am wrong, though! Persona 1 is playable through Popstation, although glitchy... Persona 2: Innocent Sin was never released in the U.S. Persona 2: Eternal Punishment was one of the BEST RPGs I've ever played. This also works with Popstation, but it locks up regularly. Persona 3: Is probably what everyone wants but ... they will probably make us wait for that, a good long time... My only disappointment with P3 was that you could not negotiate with demons, like in 1 and 2. Those demons say the darnedest things :)
Give me a port of P4 for the PSP and I will be a happy gamer. I love RPGs on my PSP cuz at any time I feel I can just pause and send the system into standby and pick it up again when I choose, where as I'm a slave of save points on the consoles.
"Take out your hair gel and mascara, things are about to get really emo." LOLOL
the Megaten series of Persona is one of the most profitable line of product for Atlus. btw it is hoped that the Innocent Sin can get the proper port to the psp. the greatest sleeper's cult ever!! @ Gino: I totally understand what you're feeling right now. P4 totally roxxorzz!!1
"Gino should really be the one writing this, since he's still tripping on Persona 4. But he's not here, so hah." I was probably at home, playing P4, when he was writing this. LOL
