The homebrew coders from the PCSP Team has released the initial version of their PSP emulator written in c++. Although the emulator is still on it's early stage of development and seems to only support Puzzle Bobble Pocket at the moment, you can expect more updates from the dev team soon.

Developer's note:

For the moment only the debugger part is gonna be open src. Pcsp debugger communicates with pcsp using shared memory (already tested) and qlocalsocket - qlocalserver class. Pcsp debugger is a try to remove debugging from main application and making src smaller. Pcsp debugger is partialy a port of the original pcsp debugger written in wxwidgets. It is still in early stages of development. If you wish to work on project you will of course obtain a pcsp.exe for testing. send us a private message in our site

to see more progress in emulators today, because as soon as there are new systems, there will be people who want to play their older games on it, in one shape or form. I love it

Very excited for development of the only potentially decent psp emulator to continue. Also excited for them to realize that java will only get them so far before it falls flat and nothing will ever be decently playable on it.

Funny how even though I've got a powerful pc and java is always completely up to date, I haven't gotten a single "perfectly working" game to so much as start, no less play. Kinda pointless when it won't play even on a top of the line computer, eh? This is why people use C++. I was stating that I'm waiting for them to stop working on the fail that is jpcsp and continue this one, which is the only one that will get to the status of a fully working psp emulator. This could have been done quite some time ago if they weren't screwing around with the java one just to prove some ill-fated point.
