Following Harry and his quest to find his little girl in an eerie town, has given us much sleepless nights and is back yet again with Silent Hill Origins for your PSP. Although, met with a lot of speculations, most especially if having the game played on a handheld will still have the same feel as in Playstation, it is still a very good series worth a second - if you're brave enough - a third look.

It follows a lone truck driver stranded in Silent Hill during an ordinary trip. He must escape from the hallucinations that have hunted him for so long and at the same flee the eerie town before it falls into ruins. And ultimately uncovering the truth on how a small, sleepy town like Silent Hill, turned into a hellish barrage of terror.

A Marilyn Manson video pales in comparison with the disturbing graphics and imagery found in this newest addition to the fright fest that is the Silent Hill series. Now you will literally see dead people.

» Awesome!

Ok, the video was messed up and I was thinking how uncreepy Silent Hill would be on the PSP but I think I've changed my mind. Turn the lights out, pull out the headphones and take me to Silent Hill.

Is October when this is coming out?

» The Legacy that is Silent Hill

That video was creepy, but makes sense for the game that is Silent hill. Looks great. Can't wait.

#2, if you would have watched the video to the end you would have seen that it was coming out this winter. Which means at the end of December the beginning of January, seeing that the first day of winter is Dec. 22nd.

» when is winter?

Actually winter depends on which hemisphere you live in. Southern Hemisphere is June, July and August. So the real question is is this a region specific trailer?

I can't wait for this game. That song is from the Silent Hill 3 OST. It's called Hometown. I forget the singer though, Joe, something, lol.

» The END of the Videogame Industry

Better be an ORIGINAL NEW storyline. Is it just me or every game developer is plain running out of ideas and creativity?????

Its all remakes. The trend has even followed into consoles. Xbox 360... just a new improved shinier, brighter Xbox.

Same for PS3

And games.... cyclical.

And ironically all 3rd gen titles will cost 59.99.. hah!!

Back on topic.... if this is a remake... dont buy it!!! Why would you pay more to play the same with a few more polygons??????

» what to do?

lately a lot of good games have been annoucened to come out for PSP. but for us 1.5 users we can't play any of them. is there any chance there will be a firmware 2.7 changer perhaps? or some way of being able to play them without upgrading?

» ...

Okay, before posting try to actually watch the movie.

This game is a PREqueal to Silent Hill.

This game will force a 2.7 upgrade at the least (Sony will likely have a new upgrade way before Q4)

Also, this is the number one game I'm looking forward to behind Valkryie Profile!

I concur. Fatal Frame (aka Project Zero) on the Xbox is the scariest. Very very very scary.
