So, how does it work? Kgsws explains:
Simple, notice it contains ~PSP header from demo game (UCES00206), it is exactly same header. It is easy to craft last 16 bytes of encrypted data block to match header CMAC - yes, that's the trick.
There are some strange thigs, it can't run homebrews with bigger executable block (data block does not matter), and because of ~PSP header, it has to match exact size of original game.

If you want to try it out for yourself, you can download the file below. Just make a directory under PSP/GAME, stick the eboot in there, and run it from the XMB. No HEN or CFW needed.

And if not, they'll learn fast enough.

I was saying that since this brings homebrew to more PSPs, there's now a larger potential audience... and since it encompasses previously-unhackable PSP's, it's likely that the ratio of people who don't know any better will be larger.

You can simply sign the apps and it'll recognize as official software.

That might be a problem in china.
Except that piracy is even worse there.

because they use keys, its legal. you cannot copyright numbers and thats what the keys are, hexidecimal numbers used in an algorythm to sign and encrypt.

It happened before with HD-DVD.

This is for every single person who was on the receiving end of the long-shafted raping by Sony when they purchased the $250 PSP Go product. A product which up until a couple of weeks ago was limited by PSN having next to NO games.
This is for every PS3 owner who was on the receiving end of the 'Linux debacle'. Owners who paid for a machine that they want to use THEIR way. Why? Because, that's what they paid for.
And last,
The prospect of this release is a beautiful, "Thank You" note from all of the loyal consumers who believed the lies from Sony, and 'ate the cake.'

I do praise the developers and I understand that they did this for all of us who enjoy our emulators, apps, and homebrewed games, but the vast majority of people(kids) whom I encountered all what their PSPs hacked for the sole purpose of "playing free psp games." Sad but true.
Piracy is becoming rampant and its responsible for damaging several industries, such as the PC console market, the Manga, and American comic book industry, and the list goes on.
Its understandable that the economy isn't good but damn, what does it kill people to support their favorite video game developer by buying the game they enjoyed. For some reason they can spend time buying fast food at their local McDonalds but not a video game? What a bunch of leeches.

running the HEN through the XMB is completely reliant on the kernel vulnerability being there. Once it patched, the HEN is useless for people who update or get PSP's with new firmware, signed or not.
All this means is good IMO
