New Sonic Rivals screenshots |
Ó
Sonic Rivals mainly is a racing game. Thus, you should not expect the courses to be hassle-free. Inevitably, there will be distractions and many challenging obstacles along the way that will impede you from maintaining the lead. Add to that your mission of recovering some invaluable rings.
Villains are treacherous and will definitely slow you down. With the Venoom, Drill Worm, Metal Hound, Vultur, and Egg Flapper, you have to be wily enough to get past them and continue on with the race. There are two separate modes of gameplay for you to choose from: Time Trial and Story Mode. So, it's just a couple more weeks to go before Sega">Sonic and friends breeze through your PSPs. But for now, enjoy these screenshots, and take the time to familiarize yourself with what's in store for you in the game.

...I think I'd take a full-fledged Sonic game over this, but we'll see when it comes out. If it's playable, well it might be tempting... but it sounds like a bigger and bigger flop all the time... Just wish these companies would give the PSP full fledged games instead of ports, knockoffs, and spinoffs of real series.

There's nothing on the homepage about this, just a link to the full article and it's details... lol...
so this is a new version of sonic r?
I've been a huge sonic fan for ages, and I agree that most of these spinoff games have been medeocre quality. This is not a game I really look foward with, and as far as I'm concerned, not a true sonic game.
I'm hoping they can change my opinion when I actually get to play.
On a side note... "Egg Flapper" Just sounds wrong. =[
i don't know what you thinks about the grafics... but it seems that the psp only runs with 111mhz...or like an nintendo ds port...
i like sonic but this is not what i would like to see from this great classic game
I like it because it has mettalix in it (the metal sonic). And its no called metal hound QJ its mettalix! Also doctor eggman is called doctor robotnik. It really annyos me that know one knows the true story of sonic and just read an unofficial magazine in america. Doctor eggman as the americans like to call him was originally called doctor robotnik. Doctor Kintobor became Doctor robotnik after a freak accicdent in his lab when testing new sonic trainers with sonic, which thus made sonic blue and kintobor into robotnik. Also angel island is called the floating island! And the world they all live on is called mobius. Also Doctor robotnik has a sidekick called grimer, who invented the mettalix, NOT ROBOTNIK! and if u wish to learn more about sonic then just ask :)
whats sad is that sega made a brand new sonic game for the neo geo pocket, and I think the n gage got some unique sega games as well. On top of it the psp has been out 19 months already.
Strangler - Not by a long shot. The Sonic game on NGPC was Sonic 2's levels, cel-shaded, with Sonic 3's music. Not a new game by a long shot.
Rivals, however, is.
