Developed by Backbone Entertainment for the company which Sonic represents, Sega, the game will feature Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow and Silver as playable characters, with Metal as an unlockable character which you can play as after finishing the other four's stories. And of course, they're up against the villain who is no other than Dr. Eggman, except that his descendant, Eggman Nega, has decided to tag along this time around.
So, while we wait for December 1 to roll in and for this game to finally hit store shelves, here're some character renders of our hero hedgehogs for now which features them in various suits.

seen better renders in PS1 games :P ... these are VERY LOW poly! - probably cos the games pretty fast or something ...sonics sucked since sonic 3 :P

I reckon this game is really awesome. Sure, the graphics may not be the best, but hey, graphics aren't anything. It turned out funner than I thought it would be. I'm not that good at it though =) Wow, so many games have come out lately now that I think about it: Sonic Rivals, Killzone: Liberation, GTA:VCS, Socom 2, Need for Speed Carbon (?), MOH Heroes and soon to come out are Rainbow Six: Vegas and MGS: Portable Ops. The PSP has an awesome lineup (and to think i use to be a Nintendo Fanboy!)

true. but Sonic + Knuckles was pretty decent.
The gameplay is fast the graphics looks really nice when things get going, its pretty cool. Also, its not the best game in the world, but it will keep you coming back time and again.

The news article was based on how the graphics looked, they were character renders ffs! - having made a fair amount of models in max, I can honestly say that these models had no thought to the character / clothes design... and theyre just, naff! The game? yeah thats different,... Ive actually been more on the SNES / Atari ST emulator than any PSP game... They're never going to make games that had the gameplay like back then. That said, MGS + looking fine! :D cant wait for that one to come out!
Actually all the screen shots I've seen for sonic were ugly (these last renderers seem really poor quality) but I've got the game : and Wow ! GREAT graphics, high speed, loads of fun, nothing to do with all we've been seeing in the previews
This game is grreat.. i don't know what the deal is.. but i got this a few days a day. and it is really really good. i play it everyday for hours. this is the only psp game that actually has replay value. This Game IS SONIC. and yes all sonic games have sucked since sonic 3 (sonic and knuckles is part of sonic 3 go read wiki or something google sonic 3 and knuckles.) anway back to my point the game is awesome!!!!!!!!!!! fun fun fun.. thats whats missing in games these days. FUN!!!

This is realy a Good game. But I wont buy it becouse I dont like it that I can't race in first person. That is the only thing that holds me from buying it.
there is now so much sonic titles that we cant tell if one will finally better than sonic 2 (genesis).... graphics for this game are poor, with the same bgs weve seen 100 times before and the best of all, the gameplay is so bad that we stop playing after 10 minutes.....
And here I was hoping to see some of the other "goofy" costumes. Ah well, at least they threw in Sonic's Black Tie attire. I was hoping to see Knuckle's Robotnik suit, Shadow's 80's gettup, and Silver's Santa gear.

This game, along with all the other Sonic games that they have made since 2000, SUCKS.
shut up man dis is da closest sonic game to da mega drive version yet!(oser than da gba) i was actually suprised how great dis game is and da graphics are brill. its a bit too short tho
