The folks at Japanese gaming website Game Watch recently got Sony Bend to demo Resistance: Retribution for them, and they've posted a lot of new screenshots from the game as evidence. Check 'em out.

Also included in the Game Watch report are a few shots of the game's PSP Plus feature that lets gamers play Resistance: Retribution using a PS3 DualShock 3 controller if they happen to have a copy of Resistance 2 as well.

And finally, here are renders of a few of the bad guys in Resistance: Retribution. From left to right we have the Armored Hybrid, Armored Titan, Boiler, and Cloven Soldier. Take a good look at these mugs, as you'll be blasting them away come February 2009.

SUPA SICK !

... one thing i dont like is that the psp has to be connected to the ps3 in order to use the dualshock 3 controller :( my ps3 is right above my tv and my psp is a 1000 series :( i was hoping that they would make the feature work on wifi.... oh well

» Kill Zone dev pls take note...

Hopefully the next Kill Zone PSP game is not an over head shooter (although it is not too bad...)

» ..

if you have the fat psp like mine.. you cant... if you have the slim or the new 3000 you can... all you need is the cables from the store.

» zmog bacon!

I think this kind of goes without saying but please BUY this game. If a game of this caliber "flops" then why in hell would other developers even bother!

» TRUE....But you can't stop the Pirates.

Especially as the latest PSP 3000 may well be cracked open very soon, there is nothing to stop them, dumping this game to .ISO.

Come on Sony release a demo for all of us to play.

It may get you more sales of this game.

» PSP 1000 and resistance

It certainly looks like a psp 1000...with the wifi on the side....hmm.....i see the video cable and the image on the tv...which duplicates the image on the psp.....strange indeed....they must have it jerry rigged to show....or its just staged...but cant wait...

by StingBlah - 2009-01-04 03:04
» yup

that's definitely a psp 1000. The logo on top fives it away. I think its different on the 2000 and 3000, and the speakers are not on the face.

by StingBlah - 2009-01-04 03:05
» The game look decent, but...

The graphics are much below GOW: CoO. Also, the main character looks like a douche bag.

by Andy215 - 2009-01-04 03:40
» So...

Do you think there will be any chance that the PSP 1000 will be able to be played on a tv via usb?

Or is it just showing what it will look like?

by NEOL - 2009-01-04 04:25
» umm...

yeah kind of

but every game got one of three graphics, gameplay, or at least story

and the way i see it this game already got one story and hopefully gameplay but in the graphics part i think it kind of lost it but maybe is the camera (T.T)

» Graphics

Since RAD released CoO, every PSP dev team is probably ashamed that they can't offer something that great. I mean if it meant working on the engine a little in order to polish the graphics and such, I would gladly accept a delay on this game any day. I liked Logan's Shadow, but I kinda feel they should've built their own engine from scratch, not just modify a pre-existing one. Don't get me wrong, this game will most likely rape, I just am afraid it might not live up to Resistance standards the same way CoO did for GoW.

» It's just missing some color or it's the wrong color.

It's just missing some color or it's the wrong color.

CoO looked crappy at first if you see the cutsenes on the developement of the game. Then they added a few things and it looked like the ps2 in a way.

by hush404 - 2009-01-04 11:55
» dude

Sharp eye! It seriously looks like just that... I would happy if the 1000 series was included and if you think about it... it's going via USB to the PS3 right? meaning either model will have the same ability to connect to the PS3 and not just use the video out option of the 2000/3000 models.

by TheLastGuitarHero - 2009-01-04 13:45
» ...

Yeah they added better graphics.

Actually when I first saw the trailor, I thought, "Kratos' facial expressions are better then GoW2. Amazing." The finished product is ultimately the best PSP game in-terms of graphics, unless someone wants to argue Logan's Shadow.

RaD is the greatest team the PSP has/had. I hope they come back.
