Despite the allure of the Wild West, Westerns haven't exactly been popular when in comes to video games. But all that is set to change as Activision brings a sordid tale of revenge, justice, and a whole lotta violence to the PSP.
In Activision's GUN Showdown, players take on the role of Cotton White, a gunslinger out for revenge in the wild and untamed West of the late 1800s. In this lawless land, the line between good and evil are blurred, and lust and brutality are a way of life. This exclusive version for the PSP will have all of the action contained in the console versions, along with a few extras: all-new side missions, quick-play modes, multiplayer modes, and gameplay features unique to the PSP system.
For starters, let us just say that this game looks mighty interesting. We've always been fans of the Preacher comic, and any time we're given the chance to pretend we're playing as the Saint of Killers is one chance that we will definitely take 100% of the time. OK, maybe Cotton White doesn't exactly look like the man who literally froze hell, but we'll take what we can get.
