Neo Geo Heroes Ultimate Shooting dated and trailerized

Here's a treat for SNK fans. The company has released a Japanese promo video for their upcoming shooter, Neo Geo Heroes Ultimate Shooting. Check out the video below to see some SNK characters take to the skies and blow stuff up.

Neo Geo Heroes Ultimate Shooting throws a bunch of popular SNK characters into the middle of a top-down shmup that somehow involves a stolen time machine. Ten characters from six different franchises have been confirmed so far:

Marco Fiori from Metal Slug
Akari Ichijo from Last Blade
Athena Asamiya from Psycho Soldier / The King of Fighters
Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury
Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury
Kyo Kusanagi from The King of Fighters
Iori Yagami from The King of Fighters
Kula Diamond from The King of Fighters
Iroha from Samurai Shodown VI
SYDIII from Armored Scrum Object

The game also makes use of the PSP's widescreen via a horizontally-oriented mode where the d-pad is used to control the player ship and the analog stick is used for attacks. It also comes with a port of the arcade and XBLA title KOF SkyStage accessible via the game's SkyStage mode.

The bullets will start flying in Japan on July 29.
