Naruto Shippuden: Kizuna Drive set for spring release |
Listed in: PSP Tags: Namco Bandai, naruto shippuden: kizuna drive
Looks like spring is a good time to have a PSP next year. Apart from four exclusives from Square Enix, Namco Bandai will also be pitching in with a new Naruto title, Naruto Shippuden: Kizuna Drive. Just another Naruto game, maybe? Well, if you love four-player co-op action with a lot of combination jutsu, you ought to read up.
Naruto Shippuden: Kizuna Drive will have support for up to four players via ad hoc. That'll be like playing in actual Konoha four-man cells. You get to use your characters' skills against enemies - Sakura can heal you right up, Shikamaru can hold enemies in place, while Naruto tries to inspire them with his motivational speaking. You can also combined those skills for Kizuna attacks, or Chakra team attacks.
For times you don't have anyone to play with, the game will also have a single player mode with its own original storyline. Judging by the game's boxart (picture), it involves the Tailed Beasts. Since it's out of the main Shippuden plotline, Namco Bandai had some room to add new characters and enemies into the game. Junko Takeuchi, Naruto's voice actor, provided his talents for the game to give you the feel of the animé.
No specific date yet, but Namco Bandai has announced that Naruto Shippuden: Kizuna Drive will be available for the PSP on spring 2011 across Europe and Asia Pacific.
