Yes, that title is quite a mouthful indeed, but at least getting a date through this game doesn't require as much effort. So here's how it goes. Basically, there are 48 idols from the group, all of which are your potential dates. All you have to do is to win over your favorite idol for you to earn that date.

Who are these idols exactly? Apparently, they are Japanese stars who did their own voice acting for the game, on top of posing for loads and loads of photos -- over 10,000 photos, in fact, plus some 80 minutes of video to watch.

Japanese die-hard fans can take a shot at love on December 23, 2010 when AKB 1/48 Fall In Love With An Idol releases. They're also releasing some limited edition for it, which includes a limited edition AKB48 pink PSp-3000, 48 lipstick marked batter covers, real size kiss mark stickers, ten photos, two making of DVDs, 24 cover art slips, a UMD video with unreleased footage worth 120 minutes, and a special box.

The standard game costs JPY 5,229 (US$ 63), while the Premier Pack is priced at JPY 36, 729 (US$ 440). Another bundle, which includes all those other freebies EXCEPT the pink PSP-3000 is for JPY 10, 479 (US$ 125).
