myst pspIt started out as a rumor on famitsu late last year, and then screenshots popped up here and surfaced there. They even delayed its original release date. But someone at Midway must have forgotten to give the official statement that Myst is coming to PSP.

Midway finally remembered and announced that Myst for PSP is officially on its way. Myst is the latest epic adventure from Cyan Worlds that have thrilled PC gamers with its "emotive and visual feasts."

The PSP version promises players even more. Midway says handheld development will engage the player like never before and literally take them to another world.

Myst carries no instructions and clueless players begin a voyage of exploration on a mysterious and deserted island. Alone like Tom Hanks in that movie where he looked really filthy, gamers must set out to explore its grandeur and mystery.

This is where the adventure begins to unfold. The island hosts more intrigue and injustice than Washington, DC. It defies all boundaries of space and time. Every action can somehow rescue an unfortunate individual stranded somewhere in a parallel dimension.

The Myst adventure is a unique combination of lavish environments, puzzles, mazes, and a sizzling underlying drama. But the press release stopped here. More details about the game and release information will be made available shortly. After all, this is just the official announcement that Myst for PSP. But we said that already.

I had Myst 1 for Sega Saturn, it was a scary game, and I never finished it :(

Ah, fond memories of late nights trying to crack the spaceship . . . at 7, there's only so much you can do :)

Myst LOL

Am I the only one that wants a real-time version of the 7th Guest? I thought 7th Guest was WAY better than Myst. Myst was a Hypercard game! Screw Myst. I'd play T7G any day of the week over Myst!

Ugh!

I would have cared about MYST 7 years ago, which is back when I still didn't care about it. I mean they're up to what, Myst VI now? Besides you can pick up the original Myst for PC for about .99 cents these days. Why are they releasing this garbage instead of something new? They make the PSP look like a trash bin...

7th Guest was better

I never "got" Myst. I mean I beat it (like forever ago) and everything but never saw what was so great about it. 7th guest had some AWESOME puzzles that really made you think and stuff. They should definitely bring it back. Along with 11th hour and (for the hardest puzzles maybe) Jewels of the Oracle.

I hated myst personally.

oh boy

I liked this game...however, I hope they can cut the loading time down drastically or else you'll never finish the game under 20 hours.
