remember his downgrader? All that money people donated and he didnt even release it. I'm guessing he never even bricked his psp. And then, about half a year later, he announces a psp emulator, and the psp community welcomes him back with open arms. QJ.net needs to check and double-check every file made by yoshiro in the future. This was not an accident. He did this on purpose. I can't wait for his explanation, that's if he doesn't mysteriously vanish or blame it on another member of his team :p

Glad I didn't try using the emulator...guess I was right to wait for the official emulator anyways, now that HENB refuses to load for me :( I think it didn't flash the small files properly to my psp...is there any way to remove those small files so that I can get the program to flash my psp again?

i ran this emulator once before. Had to cut and paste the old memstick contents to my PC's HD in order for the Ace Combat 3 ISO to fit. I will test devhook now, and damn these guys if it doesn't work anymore

ffs, i thought yoshihiro had changed. seems he's the same old selfish ***** underneath. There was the time SXT tried to steal credit from MPH because of the downgrader. The time when they claimed MPH had stolen SXT's idea for the MPH Game loader. The time when they claimed full credit for the 1.50 downgrader to 1.00 (anyone remember virgin 1.5's?), when it was worked on by both teams. The time when he wrote "pspupdates sucks" in his readme as a direct jab at QJ. Devhook completly crushed both SXT Firmware Loader, SXT Version changer and even MPH Game loader. While MPH respects booster, it seems yoshihiro decides he cant take its success and decides to damage it. This is all forgetting the fact he hasnt released the source, and he is in trouble under the GPL license. I guess people dont change. I still respect matheleui (spelling?) though, he's cool. Yoshihiro on the other hand... pffft

according to pspuser129's post, it eventually gets rid of that file in flash1 for some reason. I am not touching this emulator again until a) i get a 2gb or larger memory stick (which i want for PSP isos anyway) and b) see a new version released that does not write any crap to the flash memory. Looks like this emulator isn't as great as i first expected. Also i'd like to see some speed optimization like StrmnNrmn is doing, but it looks like that won't happen. Allow me to quote something from the release article: "This emulator is a port of the PC's PCSX so I wouldn't expect speed improvements to happen regularly." well, speed really sucks at this point! I'm sorry, but i can't ever use this emulator until it gets much better

Good thing i didnt dwnload this. I feel sorry for all u other guys. This isnt the first time Yoshiro did sumthing bad in the homebrew scene. Remember the 2.0 - 1.5 downgrader?! He tried to get credit for MPH's work. Now hes trying to steal someone else's work also and make Devhook unusable. This is me looks like somone is very jealous of someone else's success.

I have a request for QJ.net, DCEmu and every other PSP news site. Everytime Yoshihiro talks, releases something, etc... ignore him. I cannot believe how skeevy this jerk off is, it honestly needs to stop. This guy cannot be trusted, I would not trust one piece of code he wrote (or stole) on my PSP. I am glad that I did not try this emulator out or even download it. I do not need his personal beliefs messing with my PSP's flash1 or flash at all. Risking the bricking of someone's PSP as a sick joke really should not be put up with. The next time this guy releases something, just ignore it. Your PSP will thank you later. DevHook is better than anything he could ever hope to program in his entire life time.

Here is an idea Yoshhiro!

The next homebrew you come out with, put in a timed delay to brick people's PSPS! People will least suspect any wrong doing if their systems magically get system files from flash0 removed on say, a week from now! It would be brilliant and I think it could be pulled off easily. Heck, there might be a timed delay to brick your PSP right now embedded in your PSP's system. :)

ive used the emulator, played a few games (tekken 1, tomb raider and a few others) BUT my devhook still works. im using a modded version of devhook, could it be this?? also, my devhook has been quite flakey recently, Stuff hasnt ran as well as it usually does. any way to fix this? or will a factory setting restore sort it (since its flash 1 not flash0)??

I tried this on my 2.60 PSP hopefully that peace of s*** did not do anything bad towards my PSP. I think it mainly goes toward's 1.5 users but I might be wrong gosh this guy sucks at life...

Apparently this only breaks devhook if you use the flash feature, which I don't, so I'm good still. Really a low point for Yoshihiro though, hopefully he'll get over himself.

Only Devhook 0.46 loads files from flash1. This only modifies the registry files there, not on the MS.

Somehow I doubt that writing to the flash1 just so happened to be in the PC version of the emu. I also doubt it is necessary for the program to write to flash1 to operate properly.

i happen to use a flash0/1 enabled version of devhook (which by the way refused to install to flash on 2 downdated PSPs UNTIL i upped to 2.0 then down to 1.5 with the sony eboot) and I haven't noticed any corruption issues with my flash1:/dh/ settings or anything..... yet but either way, great detective work by LordStrum (sp?) and I think im gonna uninstall flash1 files and reflash with a verified clan backup from my PC
