More PlayStation Phone images surface

The long-rumored PlayStation Phone has gone in and out of the news in various rumors, but for the most part, the leaks consistently show the same sliding Sony Ericsson phone with PlayStation controls. Earlier today, more images of the still unannounced phone have surfaced.

Judging by the menu system, the device should be running on Android Gingerbread 2.3, which the rumors have been pointing out. On the lower left corner is a small logo of the PlayStation face buttons - Square, X, Circle, and Triangle.

Sony, on the other hand, is still pretty much quiet on the subject. The thing is, if it's indeed releasing this March, we might get an announcement from Sony's CES 2011 press briefing later today.

nice, so it´s just matter of time till sony takes the psp phone out to the light, my only thought about this is that i am hoping they release better graphic games and not "MINIS" like games... that would be stupid...having such a powerful device just to run pretty basic games? i hope to see great titles running on this bad boy!

GTFO, ever think it's the new generation of Xperia or that they're revamping it up? iPod Touch and iPhone look the same too, but they have different aims. This is most likely the same scenario. Hop off.

Haha, wow, this is a pretty ineffective mash-up... Judging by the look of the console, most of the phone function will be done by touch I'm guessing, which is fine but it leaves a bit to be desired since it's a sliding phone as most would expect a keypad. But on the gaming end of the argument, the screen won't be that wide since it's a cellphone and the lack of an analog stick's going to be a big hassle...

But I guess I'll have to wait for more info before I could reach a verdict :/

It's a PSP Go that allows you to call your friends so they can laugh at your PSP Go.

That whole LCD crap is a hoax. I've got a Go and a 2000 and I prefer the resolution on the Go despite it being smaller, obviously because everything is much more crisp and clearer.

I would like to see a real comparision, a 3000 with a go, not a colorless 2000. 3000 just tops it as in sells. Its 35000 per week against 790 units from failed litle Go.

I would think that it supports for MINIs game that's available on PSN for download. How do you play PSP's game if there's no L/R shoulder button?

i dont think it's real. although so many rumors, but the lack of official announcement makes all of these news mere a rumor. nothing more. No L/R buttons? TOUCH STICKS? srsly!! We even heard a touch-able back. imo, it just doesn't add up to a new PSP. sounds too off to me.
