Sony may still be refusing to comment on anything concrete about the PlayStation Phone, but the alleged details just keep pouring in. From "mind-blowing" displays to speculated release windows, it's just about what every PS fan is waiting for to boost Sony in the handheld front.
Rumors have also been abound that an impending announcement may be set for December 9th. That's just but a week away, and Sony's still yet to address it with even a denial. In the meantime, though, let's feast on these new "details" regarding the PlayStation Phone:
- The display is “mind-blowing” and on-par (to the naked eye) with the iPhone 4′s Retina Display. Sony has introduced some Bravia technology into it and leverages on the brand when highlighting the display
- Won’t ship in time for the holidays and might be aiming for February
- Off-contract price to be around $500 with 5 free games included
- Games to be priced around mobile gaming prices, such as sub-$10, unlike the higher price for PSP games
- The Z-System name is still being thrown around, and while specific details on it aren’t available, it has been used to describe both the gaming platform and the distribution center
Now, which among these are you most rooting for? It should only be but a matter of time before Sony spills anything official. This is, after all, too big to pass up on.

almost every phone with android made are with the snapdragon CPU, so if it will have similar performance as lets say the nexus one and other 1ghz phones then I don't see why they have to reinvent the wheel...
also if it has similar hardware specs as new HTC and Samsung phones they could instead just focus on making games, and release them on market for only highend android phones, they'd prolly sell 10x more games than they would if there was only one phone capable of playing them...

Now I have new goal to wait for, as I always wanted to have a real gaming mobile phone with proper gaming keypad (I owned N-Gage QD before and I know how Nokia sucked with it)
But I have more hope with Sony quality build (except that SonyEricson phones...does suck)
I remembered an article that Sony wasn't satisfied with SE quality build to grant them the PlayStation brand

Let's hope it meet the expectations this time.

Nice to see a high density display in there. Also nice to hear they've adapted Bravia tech.
Regardless of what BS Sony do... the Bravia has always been a firetruckin piece of kit. I've got a giant in my living room, a 46" one for my bedroom and a little 32" one for the kitchen. Would not trade them for the world.

I think it will end up as "another" risky experiment for Sony that will eventually benefit the PSP2 development.
More importantly, I think it will decide wither a cellular data connection will be a welcomed feature and add to the core experience or not.

Anyway, If it worked well it can be a good transitional step with some content ready for PSP2.
So some games/minis will be released on PSPhone probably can be emulated on PSP2.
