Monster Hunter Portable 3rd dated for Japan

Capcom has announced that the latest iteration of the blockbuster monster slaying franchise, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, will be out in Japan on December 1st.

Japanese gaming mag Famitsu broke the release date in its latest issue. It also reveals that the game will be playable at this months Tokyo Game Show. The demo will offer three quest, both in single player play and online play for eager hunters:

For beginners: a battle with Royal Ludroth in a deserted island stage
For mid to high level players: a hunt against multiple new monsters, Aoashira and Jeo-ouga
For pros: a battle with Tigrex in a volcano stage

There's no word yet on a time frame for international release of the game but we can expect more info from Capcom at the said event. Stay tuned.

You are not out of choices so don't worry too much. It pains me to say this, but what you could do is wait for the fan translations to get done which should be in a month or two. And just buy the localized game when it comes out and get a save file converter and you're good to go.

I'm very disappointed with Capcom. Don't they realize how much money they could make if they released both the console and portable versions of Monster Hunter to one brand (either Sony or Nintendo, not both) and included interconnectivi ty between the two?

Heh, a storyline would only last till about 150 hours tbh.

The sense of fulfillment after finishing the story would actually shrink the possible 500+ hours gametime.

I like MH just the way it is :3

i think he meant like in mh3 you can interact with npc a bit more and theres town cutscenes and you talk /get advice during the quest

Randomly generated guild hall missions.
Now that would would actually make sense.
instead of repeating the same quests over and over again.

that would be cool like depending what hunter rank you have you can only generate up to there,there should be 4 guild gals now, quick match and custom should be the options for 4th gal

Cant wait for this, unfortunately my PSP is broken so im gunna find a way around that.

Id still wish they would also release it on the 3DS and add something nintendo like Link's Master Sword and Hylian shield
