Capcom's Monster Hunter series isn't just about, as the title suggests, hunting monsters. It about hunting giant monsters that literally dwarf you. Heck, a typical hunter is barely bigger than one of Lao Shan's claws.

While the sheer size of some of the beasties in the Monster Hunter series come across as very intimidating for people not familiar with the games, I've always seen it as one of the series' biggest draws. There are a lot of things less satisfying than bringing something almost a hundred times bigger than you down to its knees.

To give you an idea of what you'll be facing when Monster Hunter Freedom Unite comes crashing into retail this July, here's a handy dandy comparison picture showing little old you and all of the monsters you'll get to meet in the game. See that dot in the left-hand corner? That's you.

Very good artwork

Expanded image of the original which is as old as the series... http://ui23.gamespot.com/630/mhchart_2.jpg That said, a very well done piece of game art, even if it is released by the developers.
