MGS: Portable Ops dominating in Japan |

Yup, Japan is loving their portable stealth-based fun brought about by Konami's Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. Naked Snake and company is reported to be really doing well in the land of the rising Sun according to Enterbrain estimates which were reported by French gaming website, Jeux-France.
Apparently, the game already sold nearly a 100,000 copies only a day after it was released in the Japanese market. Impressive. You could say whatever you want about the game (like it's the testing ground for MGS 4), but it sure is looking like a winner. Let's just see if it performs the same, or even better, once it comes out in European territories.
Another thing to look out for is that this could boost the PSP's success over at the Land of the Rising Sun. As many of you may have realized by now, Nintendo's DS has been lording over Sony's handheld in this Asian turf. Now perhaps Snake can do something about this.

I love this game. Totally worth the $39.99 I paid. seriously, worth every single cent. I think if a PSP owner could only buy 1 UMD a year, this would be the one to buy! jump this one up!
One of the most hyped games this year only sold 100,00 copies ? , thats pretty lame . And like every other psp game in Japan it will disappear from the top10 the next week . GTA:VCS had pretty low sales too (107k copies last month ) so it seems like the PSP is struggling
this game is cool and involving but the camera and controls really annoy me. I keep blundering about looking in all the wrong directions, getting flustered as they all shoot me. Then I die.

But is not sony's fault that japan likes stupid games to train your mind rather than action games. But if you didnt read the title it says mgs dominating japan meaning that it sold better than others.
it's my favorite psp game i have... it's well worth the $39.99... only one thing troubles me... i noticed that the battery on the psp dies pretty quickly while playing it... it seems that generating those kickass graphics & computer AI (being as dumb as they are) takes chunk outta battery power...

of course it was going to do well!! the game rocks! best game to come out this holiday season!!! FOR ANY SYSTEM!!! too bad im not gonna be playing it for too much longer...seeing as how i have converted all my ps1 games to eboots!!!!

Finally a real Metal Gear game for PSP. Those Metal Gear Acid games really sucked.

If you want to save battery life, try making an ISO of the UMD and run it with an ISO loader. My PSP lasts longer with no disc in it. MUCH longer.
