Liquidzigong's signed 6.35 Pro HEN released

More update from the PSP scene today as famed Chinese developer Liquidzigong releases a signed version of 6.35 Pro, which now allows firmware 6.35 users to run the homebrew enabler directly from XMB without having to pass through the HBL.

Now some of you might asked, what will happen to the Hen now that you can sign your own homebrews? Well to quote Wololo post, the answer is the same as “why would we use a Hen rather than HBL? Some homebrews require Kernel access and won’t run even if we sign them. Some people want plugins. Some people want isos…"

You can download Liquidzigong's signed 6.35 Pro Hen here.

Dude what? If you're asking what's the best firmware to run, it's all about personal preference. Some stick to M33 because it's stable while others choose GEN for being newer and in the spotlight for devs. Others like me use the HEN as it it also the newest and is in the spotlight (Course I have 6.35 PRO on my Go and 5.50 prome-4 on my Slim). It's also a matter of what your unit is capable of. If you have a 3000, then obviously GEN and M33 is not for you, though if it is 5.03 you can use GEN-C or update to 6.35 and use HEN. Use Google or visit some forums.

I'm not sure about all the technicalities, but I believe the deal is that Hen is not a fully installed CFW like Gen and M33.

But I understand that its also less stable/reliable so I'm waiting for a new full CFW.

Although the advantage to hens is that they dont permanently install so you can still run OFW underneath to access PSN. And they are also the only option for newer models and go's.

So far.

You've got it pinpointed. CFW installs directly to the flash, HENs do not, they are installed to the RAM (so any hard shutdown or reboot with remove HEN, not CFW).

Hmmm, I would love at least a 5.03 Gen whatever with the same treatment as this one, at least it would release the pain of using chickhen or mhuspeed3 =S

Well, instead of having a biased one sided article where the writer includes how he/she feels about the item in question, why not, and this is a crazy idea so bear with me, why not, make a section where people can say how they feel about the contents of the article, INSTEAD of reading an article that is opinionated and misleading.
We would call it, the Comments section, where people from around the net can say what's on their mind, even the writer can post his opinion, and get feedback on it, maybe spark a pleasant conversation.
But I guess that would be a bit much for you to handle wouldn't it?

Maybe they'd rather do something other than write a huge long summary of how much they liked it when they can paraphrase and say they like the program, hope to see more.
It's short, sweet and to the point, and it's the least someone who's who's actually grateful for the developers using the newfound security keys, and making PSP users everywhere open to new things.

Also, wanted to tell you something your parents forgot, when you appreciate something someone has made, or given you/others, you say thank you, and when you don't have anything nice to say, you keep quiet.

When every single post gets a generic positive comment they kinda start to seem forced or just made up to fill some "comment on your own article" quota.

Give it a f*ckin rest dude. Half the damn page has been wasted because of your idiotic spam. Your attempts to change what the editors do is not going to do anything, rather, instead of complaining about the editor's comments on his own article (everyone is entitled to comment), how about trying to get the multi-page articles back to their original one-page simplistic form? Say, that would be constructive and useful!

PS: I rock. So hard.

Of course it works with ISOs (Prometheus ISO Loader, look it up). The point made however was signing the ISOs to run without the need for HEN or CFW. Some support the idea for ISOs while others do not. Piracy and digital backups are factors in the debate, however, it's clear Sony is giving up on the PSP, so the whole problem with ISOs should deteriorate like older systems (ie ROMS).

I think that the PSP is one of the few systems where backup support had legitimate reasons going for it. I'm not saint, I'll admit I've downloaded a couple of games in the past, but I've also bought and paid for at least thirty games and I couldn't possibly imagine lugging 30 UMDs around just so I could make full use of my, uhm, portable console.

Sure, the PSPGo went some ways to remedy that, but it was implemented horribly. Namely in that I'm not spending hundreds just to own games I already have.

This is great. As its signed it looks like we have a crack for ever.
Its not a CFW but its the closest we will be getting for a little while.
All we need is full kernel access and that will be great.

How about a downgrader. I want to use some 6.20 only software and cant in 6.35.

There was suppose to be a downgrader in Jan 1st but it looks like the dev has backed out again. Nothing new, they hype us all up for nothing. BASTARDS!

THANKS to the dev who made this. Great work. :)

Well I guess this wont be the crack we use forever but it's how we crack it forever.

Doesn't matter what they do as long as we can sign our own homebrew they cant stop it anymore.
