Ok, after installing it I've realised this is TOTAL BULL$#!T
THIS IS NOT A CFW. ITS A HEN.

I installed 6.35
Ran 635HEN
Ran this 635CFWA
it said it installed. In settings it says 6.35 CFW-A
When I rebooted it went back to 6.35 so this is a HEN.

Well, back to 5.50CFW as thats the last REAL CFW.

Will people stop this $H!T as this is NOT A CFW, its an addon to a HEN.

its a custom firmware enabler, just like the ones available for 5.03 for ta-088v3 and 3000 models, pre-ipl hasnt been cracked yet, so no permanent CFW

Then it's not a custom firmware, is it? A custom firmware has to be written to the flash memory, because that's where the firmware is. A program that just runs a ram hack isn't even touching the firmware.

I agree with Naked and Ultima. This is not a CFW, it's an addition to HEN. "It's more advanced than HEN" Yes, this is true, but that's where the word "addition" comes in. It's not a CFW until it stays put after a reboot IMO.

I was thinking, if we were to use that old Devhook PRX module, install an older CFW and then run THIS firmware... I mean, in theory... it is pretty dirty but it should work if the keys are updated...

# the reason why i had a go at nakedfuckwitAces In The Palm 2011-02-10 09:17
is because i saw no one complain when CFWe was released for 5.03 enabling people with TA-088v3 or 3000 series PSPs to have CFW even though it wasnt permanent.
the situation hasnt changed, pre-IPL still hasnt been cracked, so we still cant deliver a permanent CFW solution to people with TA-088v3, 3000 series or Go series. yet you get people like nakedbitch that just complain.
let me remind you, this is the same person who said non released software is fake THEN said he had his own software but wouldnt release it. The guy is a frickin idiot.
if you were happy with CFW enabler, you should be happy with this. enough said

I'm not going to update to another CFW (im currently one 5.50 GEN) until they have proper 1.50 homebrew support... my most used application, PSPRhythm is very picky when it comes to running on other CFW.

yikes, find a newer version of PSPRythym (I have one that works on the Go and 3000), you are gonna be waiting a long time for kernal 1.50 support (most if not all homebrew has already been converted to work on the newer firmwares). Ugh, how about updating your psp (your playing with a 7+ year old console worth about $20) the 1000s are crap now... get with the times. LOLZ 1.50

# RE: psp-1000=yuckUltimaXX 2011-02-09 02:36
PSP 1000 and a couple of the early iterations of the 2000 (but not many) are the only ones that are 100% unbrickable thanks to Pandora. You can hack, shmack, run ANYTHING you want on those things, they'll take it. Newer PSPs don't even have that option.

Granted the hardware's outdated, but telling people to sacrifice functionality for the sake of "being with the times" is a load of BS. You're probably one of those daft sods who buys a new iPod each generation.

Secondly, anyone who's followed the PSP scene for a while will know that you don't NEED to be running 1.50 to run 1.50 homebrew, you just need the alt-kernel installed. I remember when DaX first came out with his 2.70/1.50 hybrid... or was it? It was so long ago.

Anyway, yeah, you've said something pretty stupid, and you're pretty misinformed too. Forget getting with the times, try knowing what you're talking about as a starting point.

but LEDA doesnt run all 1.50
you're still better off with a phat and 5.00m33 and 1.50 plugin for full compatibility
plus LEDA only works on 5.00m33 which means its an alternative for slim users to use because they cant run the 1.50 kernel.
1.50 still has a lot of brew that has not been updated for new kernels

Actually you look stupid because the 2000s can't run the 1.50 kernel... so you can't run "ANYTHING" on those. The MAJORITY of 2000s are pandorable so your "couple of- but not that many remark" is even dumber. I never said to sacrifice functionality (that only happens when you delete the location free player to install a 1.50 bootstrap)... you can get a psprythym that works for the for the 2000 or 3000 but holding on to 1.50 like it's the shit is stupid (I guarantee there will be no 1.50 bootstrap for this as there is no longer room in the flash for the "alt kernel" on newer firmwares after 5.00). If you REALLY remember the scene at all then you will know that for this bootstrap to be installed you needed to get rid of the location free player to even have room- TALK ABOUT SACRIFICING FUNCTIONALITY!! !. New PSPs can do (minus IR but who cares about that) all that the 1000s can do and more - ie: all homebrew have updated versions for the newer kernels. I know more about this scene than you do obviously, so think carefully before you try and flame me as you will get schooled.

I've been reading mixed reports on this.

Firstly, I'm massively impressed that we have multiple options for HEN/CFW now, it just goes to show how lively the scene is becoming, noreso now that the Go has finally been opened up to its full potential.

However, from what I've read ISO compatibility is patchy (not many JP games work), as is homebrew, and the HEN has been crashing a few PSP's.

I'd love to use this on my Go as I have a few official games that require 6.31 or higher (GoW for example) but unless I can find a comprehensive rundown on this, I think I'll have to wait.

Ideally I'd just love a signed HEN that ran on 6.35, could run most ISO's from the XMB and supported most Homebrew. To be fair this looks to be attempting just that. I hope the next revision fixes the issues and we end up with a solid HEN platform *fingers crossed*

here is my experience with it sofar, none of my normal plugins work with it active, which is a shame.

Playing games from ISO files seems to do what it fells like, sometimes I get it to work and sometimes I don't.

all of my legally downloaded PS1 games work fine but those that isn't don't work with it on I have to revert back to 6.35PRO to play those

DONT!
This is crap. It's better to stay with what you have.

@ispongoo the difference is this adds another program to run before ISOs so its totally useless unless you want to run multiple apps before you get to something similar to CFW.

IF this was signed then it might be ok, but its not. You have to run HEN first, then this HEN 2nd. it's totally useless and a waste of time to even bother with.

its better than anything you'll ever do.
its not too bad. more functional than neurons CFW that actually installs to flash.
i got GOW:Ghost Of Sparta UMD. and neurons CFW came up with a firmware error (80080148 which is modules missing)
now Ghost of Sparta UMD is 6.31 and 6.35 neuron wouldnt play it, yet coolbirds and VF's HEN would.
credit where credit is due.
Mocking where its due to, and you naked deserve all the mocking your sorry arse gets

First of all there is no prome-5. You must have prome-4.Update to OFW 6.35 then run the 6.35 PRO Hen. After that run the 6.35 PRO-A installer. There you have it.

I have been using this no problem plugins/iso/homebrew all seems fine

its a Lcfw it writes some files to flash0 when installing and you only need to run the installer app ONCE after that you only have to run the pro-a fast recovery app

also if you searhc wololo's forums you can find a version that runs from digital comics

Im confused personally, as to what exactly the point of this release is. I have the 6.35PRO HEN. I have the Prometheus ISO loader. That combination has loaded all my ISOs fine, not the prettiest iface ever, but working perfect as far as Ive seen.

Now I get this "CFW", which apparently is just an unsigned HEN + ISO loader all in one prettier package with added ability to load ISOs from the XMB, but it doesnt seem to have as good compatibility as 6.35PRO HEN + Prometheus. Its also a little slow loading larger lists of ISOs (I have a 16gb card with 32 ISOs on it including minis).

Since all this stuff is from the same dev (I think)can we be expecting the compatibility to be fixed and this to get signed like the 6.35PRO HEN so we can leave out what seems to me like a really redundant step (loading a signed HEN to load an unsigned HEN)?

I noticed in the VSH menu it says something about POPS plugins. Does this actually support POPS or are there plans to with 6.35PRO-B? The eboots Ive tried loading all failed. And speaking of plugins, does anyone know where this thing loads plugins from? It doesnt seem to read the 6.35PRO HEN Hud plugin (which works fine in the HEN) from either ms0:/plugins or ms0:/seplugins.

[all based on my experiences on my PSP-1000]

Now you know why I'm annoyed at the title of this.
It says CFW when its NOT its just another unsigned HEN so yes you need a HEN to run this HEN. It's totally crap and useless as when you already have the first HEN running you can already run ISOs so why is this even needed?

I might as well make a unsigned HEN that needs a signed HEN to run and call it NFCFW. ITS NOT A CFW IT'll BE A HEN and its totally useless just like this.

If the dev wants it to be useful then have it SIGNED so you only need to run 1 HEN NOT 2. Or if you believe it to be a CFW then have it automatically running like a CFW after a reboot.
If it doesn't run after a reboot ITS A HEN NOT A CFW.

and this IS a CFW, its just not permanent.
this is the same as the CFWe that was released for 88v3 and psp-3000 owners because of pre-IPL restrictions. once IPL is cracked, there will be CFW for 88v3, 3000 and Go. but if you have these PSPs and you install a IPL which has not been signed or verified, YOU'RE PSP WILL BRICK WHEN PRE-IPL CHECK IS DONE. which is why this is not permanent. To let PSP-3000 and Go owners join in the fun.
