A couple of days ago, Sony announced that it would be launching its "Dude, Get Your Own" ad campaign this May to help boost awareness for its PlayStation Portable console. Aside from focusing on the PSP's 13-17 year old age demographic, this new marketing strategy will also be focusing on the unit's new cut down price of US$ 169.99. Now, in the event that you're unable to tune in to your TV to catch these new ads, we'll make it easy: We've posted the first (of the seven) "Dude, Get Your Own." videos that'll be making their way into your local airwaves:

"Cluster bombs!" indeed...at least he didn't say "Do a barrel roll!" By the way, can anybody identify the game featured in the ad? Keep alert as this latest advertising campaign runs its course for the duration of this month.

I would have put on headphones and completely ignored him. I would have wanted to punch him in the face, but most airlines tend to look down on such things.

No. You are all wrong.

Except those who said that it was Ratchet and Clank : Size Matters.

When the "morphing" part popped up, you can see Ratchet to the left of the screen if you pause the video.

You can also see that it is Clank who is morphing.

Cluster Bombs may be apart of Worms but it is in other games as well.

That guy is a tool and should mind is own freaking business...

I also would've just switched on some music :P

I'm really enjoying this new brand of sony commercials. And yes, there is no cluster bomb in ratchet and clank, though it's still funny. Imagine sitting next to someone like that, hehe.

Personally, I loathe this ad. I think it's EXTREMELY obnoxious. If I didn't have a PSP (which I do), this ad would not make me want to buy one. In fact, it would drive me in totally the opposite direction. I seriously change the channel every time this ad comes on.

In other news, the "dude, get your own," while being a stupid tagline, reminds me of "leggo my eggo." I don't know why. :x

My Poor PSP cries for this. This is awful... its worse then that even, its just retarded! Arrg, sony, stop it. Just don't advertise, it would work better then what you can do.
