Even though video game title Jeanne d'Arc wouldn't be hitting North American shores before August, fans on this side of the world need not worry about its localization. After all, it was just yesterday when Sony Computer Entertainment treated fans to a trailer video for the game during SGD 07.

Anyway, Jeanne d'Arc was released in Japan around November of last year. Developed by Level-5, the title is actually a tactical RPG where players are tasked to go with characters Lian and Roger to take up the emblem of the Five Heroes of yore. Aside from that, players will also be meeting and fighting a lot of demons throughout the game.

Sure, the game is based on the French heroine Joan of Arc but we could say that Level-5 took a lot of loose deviations from history. To a certain extent, the game feels like re-writing the history of France and the result of the Hundred Years' War during the 14th century.

Jeanne d'Arc is expected to be released in North America and Canada this coming August. There is still no word if the game will see the light of day in Europe.
