joanJeanne d' Arc is a strategy RPG which mixes French history with videogame style fantasy made specifically for the PSP. In this blend of fact and fiction, all characters including Joan d'Arc, are half real and half fictitious...so you can't use this game as a substitute for your history books. The real Joan didn't fight monsters, dragons and skeleton soldiers. Don't put that in your book report. And she's not Joan of Arcadia, either. We recently posted a great article about Jeanne d' Arc includingits gameplay and "twists" and you can read about that here. If you're after Jeanne d' Arc scans, you can view them here.

If you want to see one of the first trailers of this game that every PSP fan is willing to burn at the stake for, you can click on the download link below.

That cover...

Is it Leelee Sobieski that one on the cover? She alredy made Jeanne d'Arc TV Film some years ago so the game would be based on that film...

Booooo

Choo Choo its the boring train. First stop French History This game sounds like boring wraped in dog*****, baked in a medieval French oven.

Wow

Boring? BORING? This is a friggin' original Level 5 SRPG for the PSP! It's the first RPG announcement for PSP that is *not* boring. The comments here have reached a new low - have you even watched the trailer?

Level-5

IMO, Level-5 is the best RPG company out there. This game looks amazing and might be enough alone to get me to buy a PSP.

To Durante

Some people really find turnbased strategy, really, really, really, really, boring. (like i do) I still have final fantasy tactics advance and absolutely hate it. This game to me seems alot like that game. What im trying to say is that its not for everyone. So durante dont get pissed at people who are expressing their opinions.

FFTA

FFTactics on GBA wasn't a good game. Try Tactics on the original PlayStation and you'll get a taste of what strategy rpgs are suppose to be about.

to no.#7

hockeytree, there's a big difference between people expressing their opinions on a game and people that say the game is stupid and dumb. ughh little kids

by - 2006-07-22 13:14:11
meh

@7-did the movie had dragons and skeletons fighters?if not then i doubt it will be based in the movie

by - 2006-07-22 14:40:34
Sorry about that.

#8 Well i feel just about as stupid as the kids asking for 2.71 downgraders, So far FFTA is the only strategy game Ive played. I kind of expected all of them to be about the same. I just borrowed my brothers copy of the PS1 version and I actually do like it, so please disregard my earlier post.

Cool

I'm actually pretty excited for this. Heh. On a side note, the Joan of Arc movie (the one Leelee S. was in) did not include dragons. I think it's strange how the Japanese are screwing around with a french saint. Heh.

definitely cought MY interest

Wheee~ I'm really looking forward to this game! ^_^ Right now I am totally hooked with Bahamut Lagoon and Jeanne d' Arc looks quite promising! @ Durante Agreed. Most comments are from people who think they are something special because they are the first to post and the rest just swears around or posting other nonsense... Sometimes I wonder if they behave like that IRL aswell... At least there are still SOME serious people around. @ Sparrow I think it's okay if they mess around a little XD But it is funny how interested they are in french history! Rose of Versailles (Lady Oscar) comes in mind, which also mixed real historical events and fictional characters. And I REALLY hope they also mess around a little with Jeanne's fate... Otherwise it will be quite frustrating to spend hours of gaming just to see the main character to end on the stake =/

...

@dreary79 Level-5 is a really good company but you can't say it's the best... Can you forget Enix? Sega? Camelot? Also, I only see things about Final Fantasy Tactics. WHY??? Was it the only Strategy RPG on this damn planet??? You completely ERASE games like Shining Force and Fire Emblem???

by - 2006-07-23 02:04:07
*_*

@ yoshinatsu I guess he just wanted to say, that the PS1-version is a lot better than its GBA counterpart. There are many great SRPG's out there. Bahamut Lagoon (like mentioned before), Front Mission, Ogre Battle, Zone of the Enders,... Anyway, Shining Force and Fire Emblem are true classics!

ehhh....whateva...

I don't really care for RPG's at all, except for some games that could be considered RPG if they didnt have the take-turn based attack style. Like LOZ could be considered, he gets stronger through upgrades, but not like you manually do it, like in strict RPG's...But hey, you do what you gotta do and i'll play it if it gives me somethin to do.
