Impossible Mission screenshots

After the announcement that game developer System 3 will be breathing new life into the retro title Impossible Mission, here comes the first set of PlayStation Portable (PSP) screenshots for the game.

First released in 1984 for the Commodore 64 system, Impossible Mission allows players to take on the role of a spy who is out to stop the plans of yet another evil genius who wants to turn the world upside down. It then becomes a race against the clock as you (the spy) have to infiltrate the enemy's base, search the premises for pieces and clues, and then assemble the password that will bring the whole evil operation to a halt. All this while avoiding an army of deadly robots, of course.

So, as we wait for the video game's port for the Sony's PSP to finally make it to retails stores on the promised Q2 2007 release date, here are the screenshots we've promised. Viva retro!

it is modernised a little lol its one of them classic puzzle games that you just wont understand until you actually play it.

basically you can run and when you jump you jump a certain distance in the direction your facing. Jump platforms, climb ladders, and you can investigate certain areas by pressing up to collect codes and clues to solve puzzles to make it to locked areas.

i used to play the atari 7800 version of this game. At first i thought it was just crap but became addicted to the puzzle feel of the game play ... and let me tell you ... it wasn't easy.

unfortunenatl .... you couldn't finish the atari 7800 version since it was never a completed game on that system :(

i cant wait for it to be released.

i used to play the commodore64 one all the time and it was a great game.

couple other greats on the system were

space taxi

jumpman

boulder dash

frantic freddie

I hope the modernised version contains new levels or better "screens", because the screenshots shows Screens from the Commodore 64 Version with new graphic look. You also can play the original version with the Vice emulator on your PC or on your PSP. But not more to say: Impossible Mission was and still is one of the greatest games ever... Another visitor, stay a while, staayyyy foreverrrr !!!
