Higurashi Daybreak: Welcome to load time hell |

Judge for yourselves (note 1:18):
Cavia, inc, was the developer who ported Higurashi Daybreak from the PC. The port comes with several extra features not present in the original, including new storylines for Hanyuu and Natsumi. It's not a bad game, per se, but I'd trade all those extra bits for the 40 seconds of my life lost during those loading screens.

Every time you enter another room/area the game displays a loading screen for 10 to 15 seconds to load the next room, even if it is an exact duplicate of the previous room (or at least shares the same graphics/items).
Every time you view items in the inventory the game lags quite noticeably while loading the 2D image of the item.
When you level up the game stops for a second to load the Level Up graphic.
I quickly tired of the constant and seemingly needless delays and regretted ever purchasing this game.
Oh, and the load times here do not seem to be too bad compared to some games. I tend to play them off the memory card in ISO format nowadays so the load times are reduced anyway.
