Head's up to the PSP community! Did you know that today marks the fifth-year anniversary of your handheld buddy? Yes folks, it's been a hell of a ride, but five years after its North American debut on March 24, 2005, the PSP continues to evolve with diifferent hardware revisions and software innovations, Sony promises the best is yet to come. With more than 17 million units sold in the U.S. alone, Peter Dille, Senior Vice President, Marketing and PlayStation Network, at Sony Computer Entertainment America said:

Five years ago, PlayStation had yet to break into the portable market. Today, the PSP system is a well-established handheld platform that continuously redefines portable entertainment with quality that's unparalleled. As PSP celebrates its fifth anniversary, the best is yet to come. We're very excited about the vibrant 2010 lineup and are committed to continuing to offer entertainment experiences and immersive gameplay only possible on the PlayStation platform.

I'd say Persona 3 Portable will be the best new game for some time, although if they get Res Evil right, who knows?

Sony cant lose what they never had =]

In some cases, they actaully make money due to piracy. Most ppl who pirate wouldn't buy a PSP if it wearn't for piracy.

But yea, they since piracy exist, there are also ppl who turn to pirating in regards to buying the games

i picked up my P.S.P. the day it officially launched. there is a lot to say about the matter in which it can be handled but i am happy to say mine works as well today as it did when i first picked it up and flipped it on. perhaps for it's 10year ill send it back to sony with a thank you letter boxed the way i got it.

Seems like not too long ago I started with my PSP on 1.51 OFW. I was here for the first couple of downgraders, devhook, Dax's POC, IRshell, the beginning of customization, CWF, pandora battery and so much more awesome stuff. Thanks to all of the excellent coders. Saddens me that scene has been dying slowly. On to PSP2. Cheers to all of you who like me had to kxpliot their stuff in the beginning.
