2011 is just hours away, and what better way for PSP homebrew fans to welcome the new year than by loading up a new version of Total_Noob's 6.20 HEN?
Yes folks, 6.20 TN-B has been released. One big difference from the original release is the addition of a bug fix for those with PSP-3000s, which means it should now work on all PSPs running OFW 6.20.
This version also comes with other major bug fixes and improvements to homebrew support and plugin compatibility. Here's the full changelog:
- Fixed homebrew execution crash on some PSPs (thanks to HacKmaN for debugging)
- Added PSP-3000 4g model support
- Resolved some important NIDs
- Added FAKE INDEX.DAT to TN VSH Menu.
- Dump whatever firmware with psardumper.
- Copy flash0:/vsh/etc/version.txt to ms0:/seplugins/version.txt.
- Enable the option and restart VSH, now your PSP version is faked.
- -> To downgrade just use a lower firmware EBOOT.

Ex: 6.20=>5.00=>5.03 or 5.50
THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH anything higher than 6.20 and THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH PSP GO's. The first firmware that was available for the GO was 5.70 so trying to install anything other than that will brick it. Don't do anything dumb and try to install 1.00 or anything like that. Just downgrade it enough so you can use old plug-ins.
So, PSP 1000-3000 can downgrade given you have OFW 6.20 installed but only update to 5.50 (PSP 1000-2000) or 5.03 (PSP 3000) so you can use ChickHen, Premetheus and GEN and play PS1 EBOOTs and whatever else you enjoyed before moving on to 6.20 HEN TN-A/B
PSP GOs, enjoy your current 6.20 HEN TN-A/B! That's all that's available but it's more than you could have hoped for.
WARNING: YOU CAN BRICK YOUR PSP BY OVERRIDEING THE FLASH. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK OR WAIT UNTIL A POPSLOADER IS AVAIABLE FOR 6.20 HEN TN-B!!!

So stop whining you wished it work on your device, its not gonna help the process at all. If you were using hbl via the patapon exploit and you decided to update, it was your stupid decision and YOUR OWN DAMN FAULT.
You better hope they are nice enough to figure out how to downgrade a psp 6.35 with the lets golf or whatever exploit.

first with the good news, pspgo, can finally enjoy playing backup off the memory stick, those with psp2000 v3 and psp3k that updated up to 6.20 can downgrade to 5.03 to use chickHEN and cfwenabler, or just stay at 6.20 since it can already play ISO.
now with the bad,
i remembered i read somewhere that DaX is still watching the scene and if someone has cracked on the 6.00++ to be able to make a new CFW out from scratch, not just porting the modules of M33, then the psp scene will be alive and kicking, just like 3 years ago. maybe he can make the new cfw maker as a challenge to make another m33 firmware, but alas, i don't think that it can be done sometime soon.
for all i care, i'm still clinging on to the good news. and i don't want another cfw. i just want these scene to live long enough....

I didn't upgrade waiting for this moment and I cannot find a way to get the OFW 6.20 for my PSP Go.
Anybody? that can help me?
