GTA: Vice City Stories takes place in 1984 as opportunity abounds a city emerging from the swamps, with its growth fueled by the violent power struggle in a lucrative drugs trade. You take control as Vic Vance, a soldier who has always been protected by his family and his country. But now, as you are kicked onto the streets, you are faced with a choice - build an empire or be crushed.
GTA: Vice City is being developed by Rockstar Games and will be available for the PSP this coming October. In the meantime, drool over the trailer below!

It's pretty good. New and old characters, good protagonist. Lance looks so much lamer though! He looks like a total nerd from Fresh Prince!

GTA : Vice City was my favourite part of the series. Music, ambience, style, characters - everything was so cool in it. The sense of style, the humour, the game mechanics... I liked it all. No other GTA has got me involved to the point of Vice City. I still play it sometimes, and I even bought full original soundtrack (7 CDs) which I listen to quite often. San Andreas was too different (big and with overabundance of superfluous gameplay elements, plus I didn't enjoy the 'Yo, my man' style). Liberty City Stories had a lot of limitations, even though it was very advanced for a handheld game, but what I really didn't like too much about it, was the main character and the story. So now I just hope that Rockstar will make something about 80% as good as the original Vice City, and if they do, they got me sold. This trailer actually makes me hope that indeed they might manage to capture that feeling again. I guess we'll all see in October.
Can't wait to buy this for my kids. Although I think they'll be full of supressed twistedness already with having me as a father.

You do know that the PSP versions are completely different from the console versions right? Besides the Vice City Stories coming out on the PS2 after it came out on the PSP.

I absoloutely love the entire gta franchise, but one thing that isnt a big deal or anything is in the seen where he points the gun and says some thing on the line of you think "you are a comedian?" the gun is very unstable and shaky...hope they fix it haha not like its a big deal at all though
C'mon, everyone, admit it to yourselves: That trailer is horrible. The game will probably be great but I don't have beer goggles on for everything with GTA on it. It sucks. Simple as that. Some of the dialog is laughable and it's edited really badly. Plus the song doesn't fit it at all.

Whenever I hear "i wanna hear what love is", I feel like bashing some skulls......now you figure if what I just said was ironic or sarcastic..... Anyway, the game seems awesome. I could not avoid but chuckle when the voice said: "this games has not been rated". I am sure its gonna be rated E (for everyone must have it).
I hope theres a lot of changes from the original Vice City!!!
Post 21: That song wasn't even out in 1984 so it wouldn't make sense. I've got 2Pac's first album 2Pacalypse Now and that was released in 1991. Wrong Decade!!!!! Vice is all about the 80's FFS!!! I will get this game if there is some method to play it on 1.50!!
Awesome! how can some of you think that was a crap trailer...its got me real hyped, i just hope that i can play it on my precious 1.5 ; ) PS How the ***** can you put a pac track in a game that is set in the 80s...even though he is great can you imagine wearin a pink shirt, cruising around 80s miam listenin to when we ride on our enemies...that wud be *****ed up lol.
SPOILER: Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Victor Vance supposed to die at the end of Vice City Stories!? Here's proof: In Vice City upon first meeting Lance Vance, Tommy asks him, "What is it that you want?" Lance replies with, "All I want is what you've got and my DEAD brother's white lady." Looking closely at the clip, you might see what appears to be Victor Vance arguing with his girlfriend. I smell a setup.
Vic dies at the beginning of Vice City, not the end of Vice City Stories!
