Thanks to the ever-reliable Famitsu, we have here for you some sizzling up-close scans of Square Enix's Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Set to be the prequel to Final Fantasy VII, as well as being the fourth entry to the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII series, this version for the PSP sure is making a lot of waves even before it hit the retail stores' shores.
Making its way to Japan come Spring of 2007 (which won't be for long now as it's only a day away 'til the New Year), the fans sure can't wait to get more details on the game. But with the little information (and screens and trailers) that we do have, Square Enix sure is doing a good job keeping us on our toes for this one.
Reportedly, the game's tagline has been revamped from: "A story of three young men and one young woman bound for destiny's core" to " Men who shed tears for their own fate, and for their friends". Hmmm... I like that new one better. How 'bout you?

I want this game but not as badly as some people as i haven't played FFIII. Only FF VII and up...
By looking at the battle screen picture why do i get a feeling this is going to be kingdom hearts style fighting if so brilliant!!!!
After playing VII on the PS1 then watching the demo on PS3 and the Sequal movie (Advent Children) i cant wait to see VII in your hand
Thanks to 3.02oe-b on my TA-82 PSP, my original PS1 copy of FFVII, and POPStation. I can't believe how well the game runs :)
How well it runs menu screens, and videos of FFVII. Still lags in battle intro though.

Not at all, with 3.02B the game runs perfectly. I'm just past Costa Del Sol and I haven't found one error yet, and it changes screens faster than the PS1 and PS2 (probaly due to it being on the memory stick as opposed to a disc) I may be going mad but I see Zack and Sephiroth in two of the charecters. Maybe them when they were young.
The FFVII game runs perfectly until I arrive at the 3rd area of cosmo canyon. The screen goes static.. Like the ones on TV when there is no image. Did anyone run into that error?
after i heard that the good ppl at bethesda were bringing the elder scrolls to the psp i was pretty excited.... and this game is right up there with it... its gonna be a close call

i have never played a final fantasy game... lol. only other squaresoft games. i really should get to buying all the old final fantasies from ebay and all the ps2 version. i wonder how many YEARS it's gonna take me to finish them all.

Gotta laugh at how people find ways to fight even on a place like this... Alot of games coming out for the psp in the next while look incredible. PSP is finally shaping up.

I wasn't looking forward to this game much (the other FFVII Compilation games/movies haven't been overly fantastic). But aftre hearing what IGN had to say about the demo, I must admit, I'm quite excited now. They said it's shaping up to be the best PSP game yet, and that it looks like it could save the Compilation from getting any worse. I'm very excited about this game now.
... for the fanboys to rub another one out.
