God Eater screenshots wave #1: gameplay, character customization |
Ó
Warning: there's an incoming wave of screenshots for Namco Bandai's upcoming RPG on the PSP, God Eater, and by "wave" we actually mean a tsunami. This here is the first batch of the screenshots, focusing on the game's general gameplay. It also includes a couple of them for character customization. Famitsu sure was on a roll with this one.
The Weapons System is coming up next, so stay tuned for that.

Also, the graphics really aren't all that impressive in these screens, the polygonal model are too... chunky? I don't know how too explain it beyond "needs more polygons" (at least in the right places), and the designs are so bland one wonders why they even bothered? The most interesting designs are the monsters and you tell me you can't just kill one in either MHU or Frontier. As far as character design goes, at least MH can fall back on some VERY nice animations, but after watching the God Eater trailer

... trailer, I can safely say the people and monsters move with the same grace as a robotic swashbuckler in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. PSO is better looking than this... And really all I ever wanted was a portable PSO. Not PSU, not even MH, just good ol' PSO...
*sniff*
