Glyph Media Manager v1.5 released! |
Ó

Don't go out and buy Sony's Media Manager. Xeno's amazing program makes it a lot easier to organise your PSP media files, and will save you $20! Xeno has released a new version of his Sony Media Manager alternative, Glyph Media Manager. This latest release, version 1.5 adds a few new features, including the addition of ZIP file support, thumbnail support for videos, the ability to rename groups, and drag-and-drop group adding.
The aim of Glyph Media Manager is to make it easy to transfer all your desired media files from the PC to your PSP, and has a couple of nice perks like a fully featured DB system for organising media, the ability to group media together for easy transfer, and automatic renaming of media (like your MP4 videos) to the correct naming format.
Xeno's website is now fully up and running with forums, news on the program, and support.
Update: It seems that there is a little glitch in this program that prevents it from running correctly. And here is the cure:
On "Glyphdb.txt" file in the installation directory, add this line under the [watch] section:
noofflds=0
Update 2: Xeno emailed us and said that the problem ("Runtime 9" error) has been tracked down and fixed. So feel free to click on the download link below...it should work perfectly by now. :)

I am getting an error when i try to run this program... its telling me
"Runtime Error '9':
Subscript out of range"
someone help me please!
i already downloaded media manager for free, so i didnt really waste any money
"Runtime Error '9':
Can get it working
same error as stated above.
Can we inflict massive damage to a giant crab on this homebrew?!
-> runtime error 9 :(
-> Win XP Prof - SP2 - VB Runtimefiles installed
*shakes head*
I CAN'T get to work :[
I CAN'T get IT to work :[
you need the VB Runtime libraries in order to run this program... most likely that is the cause of this error.
RTFM
Some one Get this runtime thing fixed. This looks like such a great program..
Same error as the rest of them. Witht he runtime files installed.. so theres something else going on..
If you get to see this message window, it means you already have the VB runtime in your system. There really is a bug in Glyph.
Soo I;m thinking to try this out but after hearing all these problems should I download it or not??
I sugguest to not download it. Untill you see an update.
this looks so good i have tried everything downoaded runtime files and every thing
Thought id got all the problems sorted with this. Arse.
Ill look into it and get an update done asap.
Just to check, anyone whos downloaded the previous version CANNOT use the same "db.txt" that you made with that version with the new one. Make sure you install the new version into a clean directory without an existing db.txt file
I just edited C:\Program Files\Glyph\db.txt and added:
noofflds=0
under [watch] and the program started without an error.
That should have read: c:\\program files\\Glyph\\d b.txt
Impressive, aye that pretty much was the problem.
Howd you figure that out?
I have done some programming, plus some trial and error.
yeah that gets it started.. but when i tried to add my music and movies it doed with a " runtime 5 " error when i tried to create the datbase.. now it was 5-6 folders with ALOT of information in them. That couldve been it..
But were not out of the woords yet...
I'd try one folder at a time and see if you get the error on all of them or just one. If it's only on one, you might have a corrupt file or something.
A runtime error 5 is an Invalid Procedure Call or Argument. This sometimes means bad data was passed to the function, in this case the add media.
Its kinda anoying to unistall the program and re-install to keep trying folders.. I just tried an all audio file with about 300 songs. I make more progress. About a seccond of loading the songs. And back to the error.
run-time error'339':
Component 'Mscomctl.ocx' or one of its dependents not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid
what the heck i have downloaded everything why dosent this work i did what that guy did above help me this looks so cool and i would love to actually have this program running on my computer.
download the 1.0 of this program, works fine, and wait 4 the update on thiiiiiiiiiis version, ha!!
Hey... whered you download Media Manager. Was it illegal, if it was i dont want it, otherwise can you please tell me were you got it thanks.
Sorry to the creater but this is not even comparible to Sony's Media Manager. This continues to get runtime 9 errors even with the new update. When going to select folders during setup it crashes the program.
Just spend $20 to get Media Manager, it is worth the $20 since you will spend hours trying to get Glyph Media Manager to work, unless your time isnt worth anything.
Ok i apologise profusely, there is a pretty major bug that i never picked up on.
Working on it now.
just type sony media manager, it will work as a back up... it would be nice if you just tried it and then bought it though
I can't get the backed up version...
I want to use this, but it doesn't work! Where's the update?! I don't want to pay $20 for a crappy Sony thing...
