GDC 2007: DJ Max Portable 2 remains Korea-exclusive

Okay, we have good and bad news for all who itch to get their hands on DJ Max Portable 2. The good news is what you're seeing above - a full two and a half minutes of pure gameplay taken from the Game Developers Conference. The bad news? It's gonna remain exclusive to Korea. *cue groans and sighs*

A Joystiq staffer was lucky enough to find the game being featured at Sony's booth and get some one-on-one time with the game. You're probably asking why the hell Sony would bring the game to GDC when it won't be released here. And the answer to that is: "to show publishers and developers what kind of unique titles are possible" on the PSP.

BUT, perhaps we can still keep our fingers crossed that some high and mighty publisher could convince Pentavision to let them release the English version of the game here.

So anyway, we won't bore you with the game details you'll be able to score via the vid. We figure it'll be better to just let you guys see the features for yourself. DJ Max Portable 2 is said to be slated for release in Korea at the end of the month.

» Korean only? So what?

Remembering back to the first DJ Max Portable, what's there to complain about? Everything you absolutely needed to understand was in English, and the gameplay was pretty self explanatory. If you want the game, just import it off play-asia or a similar site. Guess I just don't see why this is such a big deal.

» what?

Maybe it's because I'm not any good at them, but I hate these type of games. It looks like the person in the video is a big fan of them though.

» looks like english is supported in korean version...

according to this review on a Korean website, the game seems to have a language selection menu w/ support for full English and Japanese, as well as Korean(even though everything important is already in English anyway...) I can't wait to get this game!

Follow this link and look for screenshot of the menu about 3/4th way down :)

This game looks like a good way to break or wear out your psp buttons. Did you see how much clicking was going on in the vid?

» :

Play-asia do not ship non EUropean PSP games into EU anymore, cause they don't want to get sued like liksang

No more Japanese/korean/US PSP games or system can be shipped to the E.U.

By the way, you still have ebay and those sellers from HK, selling to anyone with a credit card
