The above is the trailer for Sonic Rivals from the Leipzig Games Convention. It's a brand new Sonic title for the PSP and the focus seems to be on multiplayer. Sadly, Sonic and Knuckles are joined by Shadow and Silver which shows that Sega isn't listening to fans' requests. Then again, as long as there aren't "Sonic Rivals exclusive characters" or anything I guess most players will be fine. We don't need another "Big the Cat" after all. What happened to Tails though? Obviously, he's not a Sonic "rival" but you'd think he'd be included in something that seems to be built on the multiplayer aspects of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The graphics are very crisp, especially when sized down to how they'll be on the PSP's smaller screen (press the button located to the left of "Size").
The game is set for a release this November. Check back for us for more!

cause no one liked activist sonic. "modern day sonic" was a way bigger hit.
At least it's only 2d dimensional in movement, the full 3d Sonics are a blight on the name. Give me Sonic 2,3 or the DS version any day.
This game looks HOT! I didn't like when Sonic went 3D. None of the games played as well. Sonic - like Mario - belongs in 2D. Thankfully the 2.5D enviroments compliment each other. A Sonic platformer - I'm there.
Sonic-adventure(dc-version) is 100,000-times better than this sonic3 and rush crap anyday,
To bad it won't be a platform adventure but just one of the many fast "racing" games with famous game characters.
it looks exactly like "Iggy's Reckin' Balls" for the N64 (wich is awesome by the way.. hard, but awesome)
Wow, frankly, I think sonic 3 was WAY better then that peice of crap you call Sonic Adventure 1... Sonic adventure 2 was great through, and almost as good I think, but sonic three was still one of the best sonice games out there. (Ya, and Rush, was WAY better then SA1)
why in gods name is tails not in here? SILVER??? god. the sonic games get worse. Okay... Sega... *Slaps Sega hard* Is it too hard to understand? MAKE GAMES WE LIKED. Where's the new wonderboy game? The new Alex Kidd? We don't want sonic anymore. He's not cool. Psycho fox is cool. Monsterworld is cool. as for newer stuff... you make 3 new sonic titles a year, yet games like skies of arcadia get forgotten? Listen to your damn fans.

you have a frekin bad taste in games u must be 8 or sumtin caus when i was that young i did but when u hit puberty then u will understand.
Oh so i have a bad-taste in videogames just cause i hated every-goddamned-sonic fan`s *****ing sonic-3 and crapbles thus making my taste *****ty, well you can *****-off, cause you know what! i'm a fan. not some stupid *****-fanboy who prises a *****ty game that whene dead years and priseing it like a god. other than that fix your god-damn spelling
