Harvest Moon: Innocent Life

We've just gotten our grubby farm hands on a brand spanking new batch of screens for ArtePiazza's upcoming RPG for the PSP, Harvest Moon: Innocent Life.

As some of you might have noticed, goodies from this game are really hard to come by, so imagine our bliss when we saw that Rising Star, the publisher for the game's European version, has just released a whole buncha new screens to keep us at the edge of our seats as we wait for the game. As you know, Harvest Moon will take PSP users far away from the usual urban setting to lead innocent lives on a relic-filled southern island as they work to build their own farms.

With the help of your mentor, Professor Hope, you'll be raising and tending to crops, while exploring the island and interacting with the surrounding residents. The characters you'll see in the game will include a mermaid who lives in a lake on the island. We don't know yet exactly what role this mermaid will play in the game, and a number of mysteries about your main character will also reportedly be revealed as you progress through the game.

The game has already been released in Japan, but there's still no word yet whether Harvest Moon will land on U.S. shores, so let's keep our fingers crossed for that one.

» Cool.

I loved this game on Gameboy and SNES, this will be cool to play an updated version.

» See how this will come out...

I've only played the GBA Harvest Moon and it was somewhat fun, coming from a piece of crap farm and turning it into something where you can make a lot of money from. Time seriously should have passed slower in that game...

Anyways, i heard the PSP version is going to be a tad different, so we'll see. But it looks awesome from what i see...

» Grr

. And this is, what really piss me off! The same was with PS2 and it suppose will be with PS3 so forget about it! 1/2 or even more games will be made strictly for asian only side of the world! And you can do nothing about it. You can curse (Monster Hunter 2!), you can praise (Monster Hunter 2!!), but you can do nothing more to see playable version.

. ______ You Sony! ______ You little selfish asian peoples!

» all sony's fault

Don't blame asians, blame Sony (unless you are calling Sony the little selfish asian people). I'm asian but I live here in the US. So I too have to deal with this kinda stuff, which is VERY annoying. If anything they should ATLEAST release these games here untranslated and untouched. That way we could still play these games without importing them.

» ,...

aaand that is why you can just download an iso...

anyway, you can't marry in this game, and you don't really interact with the other people...soo it is not a full harvest moon game +p

» I told them about the new Harvest Moon

I told them about the new one, which will be released in a certain region, and they haven't even posted it yet, even though I've told them twice!?!?!?!?

» Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon

This game will be out Q2 of 2007 (in the U.S.), according to the company that I've given the link to QJ three times already!!!!!

» Bame Sony

Especially how the PS3's games are region free, so you can play them across the world on any PS3.

Well, it's more of if you want to wait until one in English comes out.

With downloadable games, you just have to set up another account to get games from a different region.

We should all thank Sony for letting us play imported games without having to buy another system.

» What? No marrying and interaction?

Is that true? Thats sort of half of what made Harvest Moon fun for me, making friends slowly, yet able to see progress.

I doubt they would take them out though...

» Coming to the US

Yep, it's coming out here in the US as well. I'm really excited, though I hadn't heard anything about it missing the "dating" aspect of the series before. http://www.natsume.com/newsletter_frameset.html

» .

Well, it's not made by Natsume. That's a start..

by Sr_Moska - 2007-01-16 04:31
» It's pretty cool

I'll buy this one, no doubt, I played the japanese version and it looks awesome!!! very smooth graphics! big fan, I'm also waiting for harvest moon boy and girl!

by Amish.Gramish - 2007-01-16 15:48
» GRRRRR

Well, now that you've told everyone, I don't know if they'll give me the credit for e-mailing them three times, and once before they even published this little article.

Well, let's just hope that they at least know now that it's coming to the U.S.

by Amish.Gramish - 2007-01-16 15:59
» I can't wait!!!

So, you played the Japanese version?

Hasn't that been out for a year already, and WE DON'T HAVE IT YET!?!?!?!?

Well, I'm too poor to afford another PSP instead of it going forth to a PS3.
